One of those "so bad it's good" movies
"Satan's Cheerleaders" is one of those gawdawful movies that turns up at 3 AM, along with ads for lawyers and phone-sex lines. The plot is ludicrous, the acting amateurish and production values all but nonexistent. If you enjoy watching bad horror movies from the seventies like "The Car" and "Night of the Lepus," this one might appeal to you. The fact that all of the cheerleaders go over to the dark side and become enthusiastic brides of Lucifer just confirms our worst fears about our most popular high school classmates. Mystery Science Theater missed a sure bet when it passed up this one -- although, come to think of it, "Satan's Cheerleaders" might have been too much of a self-parody for the SOL crew.
