Pientje is offered a job taking over a practice for one year but she is reluctant to leave 6 month old Pimmetje alone. The Dobbelsteen's camper holiday is hindered by French policemen and overfull camping's.
Lydie's driving license has expired, meaning she has to take a new exam and can't drive a car until she passes. This poses a problem for all her emergency patient visits, so Mien suggests that Koos becomes her driver.
Hans and Gert Jan manage to make Lydie even more nervous than necessary for her first driving lesson. Mien has also been taking driving lessons (for the first time) but wants to keep them a secret from Koos.
Dr. Lydie is celebrating her 45th birthday and Mien wants to attend, but on the same day Koos has to compete in the home training bicycle final. Lydie's mother gives her an heirloom that originally belonged to her own grandmother.
Koos is enjoying his temporary job as Dr. Lydie's personal driver. When the uncle of Mien's Turkish friend Hulya tells them someone sold him a car with no working brakes, Koos & Mien decide to get to the bottom of this.
Thea had promised Map to go shopping for their unborn baby, but when something comes up, Gert Jan has to take her place. Soon the two of them are pretending to be husband and wife and Mien is getting suspicious.
Mien needs a pair of glasses but only wants to wear them while adjusting to contact lenses. Of course she loses her lenses on the first day she has them when Koos (who doesn't know about them) drinks the water that's holding them.
Rather than having to examine Mien's driving knowledge verbally, Koos proposes to join her during a lesson in the backseat. Lydie is missing the amount of time she used to be able to spend with Pimmetje.
Jopie talks Koos into selling fake 'Tior' sweaters on the market. But first they need to sow the phony labels into each one of the garments. Lydie is helping out teaching first aid and Mien decides to play a joke on Koos.
