Alternate Versions

In recent video releases, a few seconds of footage has been edited. In the scene at the pharmacy when the postman shows Felix a real fancy stamp on his letter, the new edited version edits the shot of Felix looking over the letter for the stamp and the postman pointing to it. So right after the postman calls the stamp "Fancy", it cuts right to a close-up of the Baron von Frankenstein stamp. See more »

It's the Mummy!
9 December 2003 | by m67165See all my reviews

This is a cult classic for me. I first saw it on TV when I was a kid, in the 1970's, and found the end delightfully strange. And, of course, was completely deranged by the Mummy dance. I saw it again a couple of times as a kid, and then was lucky enough to see it as an adult, and so get in touch with some subtleties that were unnoticed before. The plot is quite absurd in a way that is easily explained if you check the writing credits. As far as I know, at least one of the guys involved in this was a founder of Mad magazine, back in the 1950's. That means some Old School nonsensical humor, and I like it!
