Sex & Nudity

  • There are pinup pictures in a housing unit. The first time they are seen, they are in the background and it's not clear if they are nude or not. In the second scene where the men are celebrating at dinner, at least one is a nude cartoon of a woman.
  • This film would most likely receive a "PG-13" rating for intense sequences of wartime violence and for some language.
  • In a housing unit there are several pinup pictures of women on the walls. It's not clear if some of the pictures are of nude women or not because the camera doesn't zoom in on the pictures. Some of the woman are dressed provacative and are clearly they are for sexual arousal and amusement of the men. There isn't any on screen sexuality, but there is one scene where it's implied that a group of soilders have sex with several local women (possibly prostitutes) that are brought in for a celebration.
  • A soldier lustfully looks at a blonde German woman and grabs her.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is hanged on the gallows in the opening scene.
  • There are numerous scenes of fist fighting, punching and kicking.
  • The attack scene in the finale' is very bloodthirsty and violent, with violence toward German Officers and women. German men and women are forced into a cellar and they are killed when Major Reisman's men blow it up. Although blood is rarely visible, many people simply fall fall down after shots being fired. A woman is over powered by a psychopath member of the team, and later he stabs her in the stomach after she screams, smiling in her face as she dies.
  • A Nazi soldier shoots one of the American soldiers in the face from an upstairs window. Initially his hands cover his face then in the following camera shot his hands move away revealing a bloody hole in his forehead.

Profanity

  • One usage of "Nigger" Several usages of "hell" One "up yours" The word "damn" is used a lot The word "bastard" is used twice.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Multiple Scenes of smoking. Shown in a realistic fashion. Scenes of drinking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are many scenes of wartime violence, exploding grenades, bombs and vehicles.
  • There is a scene where one prisoner is beaten "so it won't show", by 2 soldiers then kicked when he is down. No blood is present though.
  • The Dirty Dozen are 12 Prisoners with varying sentences they are serving in a military prison. Some have mental and emotional disorders that cause them to act in certain ways that could be construed as mentally unstable and dangerous.
  • There is a prison scene where inmates are screaming and making noise that could be assaulting to some viewers.
