This film is really Planeta bur (1962), dubbed into English. New, brief scenes with Basil Rathbone and Faith Domergue were shot and edited onto the Russian original.

In much the same way as Raymond Burr "starred" in the American version of the original Gojira (1954), Basil Rathbone and Faith Domergue share top billing in this dubbed version of the Soviet-made Planeta bur (1962r. Unlike "Godzilla", however, , this film was never released in theaters, and instead went straight to television.
