A million reasons why you should never give a bedridden person a bell...
9 February 2020 | by CelluRobSee all my reviews

Shelley Winters is the beneficiary of an oddly constructed will - she inherits $2 million from an uncle provided that her ex-husband (John Gregson) hasn't had a son by a certain date. If he has, then he gets the loot. Gregson, a struggling composer, has meantime relocated to England and so she sets out to find him.... To be honest, I found it all a bit too frenetic and contrived. Winters is clearly enjoying herself, but I'm not sure it's contagious. Some fun cameos from Wilfred Hyde-White, and Joan's Sims & Hickson but Peggy Cummins as "Dorothy" (Gregson's new pregnant English wife) just annoyed me...
