  • Dead on arrival. It's a term used in hospitals to describe patients who arrive dead. The title is ironic; the protagonist has been poisoned and is already as good as dead. He is, in effect, solving his own murder. Edit (Coming Soon)

  • Countless distributors have released D.O.A. (1950) onto VHS and DVD. This film seems to be in the public domain, which means any distributor can legally sell copies without paying royalties. Beware. Many small distributors market copies of public domain films with poor picture and sound. Others are more reputable and deliver good transfers of the best available prints. Shop around.
