Avengers: Endgame directors think Sony has made “a big mistake” with Spider-Man rights

Having overseen Spider-Man’s introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Captain America: Civil War before reuniting with the web-slinger for Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, directors Anthony and Joe Russo have been chatting to the Toronto Sun about Spidey’s recent McU exit, the filmmakers stating that they believe Sony has made “a big mistake”.

“It was so difficult to get him into Civil War,” said Anthony. “It was an extremely long and hard process. But we were driven to help make it happen. But Kevin Feige pulled it off, somehow.
