‘Mindhunter’ Season 2: Is the Situation With Bill Tench’s Son Based on a True Story?

After season 1 of “Mindhunter” spent most of its time outside work — that is, in scenes that aren’t focused on the FBI’s study of serial killers — with Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff), season 2 goes a different way.
