It: Chapter Two Expected To Have Best Ever Opening Weekend For R-Rated Movie

The release of It: Chapter Two can’t come soon enough, and box office analysts are already suggesting that the Stephen King adaptation will have a hugely successful opening weekend. Set to be released on September 6th, if all goes as planned, It: Chapter Two should achieve a domestic haul of anywhere between $110 to $150 million in its first few days, beating It‘s $123.4 million.

While Pennywise and the Losers’ Club are currently behind the Deadpool franchise for the highest opening weekend for an R-rated movie, this should change come September. There are multiple reasons for this, too, from a terrifying trailer to an all-star cast and the promise of an even scarier turn from the aforementioned clown.
