X-Men: Apocalypse’s Olivia Munn found Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg’s lack of X-Men knowledge “very frustrating”
Although the series produced a number of memorable instalments throughout its 20-year history, fans of Marvel’s mutant superheroes are unlikely to be shedding too many tears over 20th Century Fox’s X-Men franchise coming to an end following the studio’s recent acquisition by Disney.

With fans already looking forward to the inevitable Marvel Studios reboot, the final instalment, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, arrived with little anticipation, and unsurprisingly it tanked hard at the box office, where it is currently on course to become the biggest superhero flop of all time. Yikes.
