Third 28 Days Later Movie Is Being Planned by Original Director Danny Boyle
According to director Danny Boyle, another sequel to the zombie movie 28 Days Later is currently in the works. While promoting his new movie Yesterday, Boyle confirmed the news of 28 Days Later 3 personally, saying he's teaming back up with original writer Alex Garland for the third installment. As of now, the confirmation of the sequel's development is all Boyle is giving us to go on. There's no word yet on a possible title, release date, or cast of characters, but hopefully we'll find out more information soon now that the undead cat is out of the bag.

The original 28 Days Later was first released in the United Kingdom in 2002. In this particular zombie story, the virus is unleashed when a group of animal activists release infected monkeys from captivity. Just under a month afterward, a bicycle courier named Jim (Cillian Murphy) awakens from a coma in a London hospital to find the streets deserted.
