Emmys 2019 exclusive: Universal Television and NBC categories for ‘The Good Place,’ ‘Saturday Night Live,’ ‘Russian Doll’ and more

In a Gold Derby exclusive, we have learned the category placements of the key Emmy Awards contenders for Universal Television. For this season, the company has many programs for NBC and a few they produce for other networks. They include previous nominees “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (Andy Samberg), “The Good Place”, “Saturday Night Live,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” (Ellie Kemper) and “Will and Grace” plus new contenders “New Amsterdam” (Ryan Eggold) and “Russian Doll” (Natasha Lyonne) as part of their 2019 campaign.

Below, the list of Universal lead, supporting and guest submissions for their comedies and dramas. If you’re looking for “This Is Us,” it is actually produced by Fox21 and will be included on their submission list in the near future. More names might be added by the network on the final Emmy ballot. Also note that performers not included on this list may well be submitted by their personal reps.
