Newspaper Columnist Suspended After Dashboard Cam Refutes Claims About Traffic Stop

Columbia Daily Tribune columnist Bill Clark has been suspended indefinitely after publishing a scathing column against two Boone County Sheriff’s deputies in Missouri, according to Tribune managing editor Charles L. Westmoreland. According to Clark’s original column, he was pulled over for failing to signal at a stop sign. In it, he said he’s “lucky I didn’t get shot,” and “my life seemed to be in danger.” He went on to say in the column that he now feels like he understands what minorities go through when stopped by police.
