Ronda Rousey Needed 9-1-1 For Injury On Set Of ‘9-1-1’
Ronda Rousey was injured on the set of Fox’s first-responder drama series 9-1-1 last week, Deadline has confirmed, nearly severing a finger while shooting a scene. Word is the Olympic judo medalist, former Ufc champion and current WWE star didn’t break character, finishing the shot before going to a local hospital, where she learned she broke two fingers on her left hand.

The news comes after Deadline scooped last week that Rousey had joined the cast of the upcoming third season of the series recurring as Lena Bosko, a member of the Los Angeles Fire Department Station 136 who leaps into action to save lives when a disaster hits.

According to TMZ, Rousey was shooting a scene in which her character was slamming a door. Instead, she slammed the door on the middle and ring fingers of her left hand. The middle finger was broken and the tendon severed,

‘9-1-1’ Season 3 Trailer: Yes, That’s a Tsunami at the Santa Monica Pier (Video)

  • The Wrap
Sound the alarm: Fox has dropped a first look at the third season of Ryan Murphy’s first-responder drama “9-1-1.” And from the looks of the trailer, the Station 118 crew is going to be struggling to keep their heads above water.

Seems newlyweds Athena (Angela Bassett) and Bobby (Peter Krause) won’t get to enjoy marital bliss for long this season as they’ll most likely be called to respond to that tsunami barreling for the Santa Monica Pier. But it’s be poor Buck (Oliver Stark) who finds himself in the wrong place at the extremely wrong time.

Hopefully the finally-coupled-up Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Chimney (Kenneth Choi), fully-committed team member Eddie (Ryan Guzman) and the ever-reliable Hen (Aisha Hinds) fare better.

‘Backtrace’ DVD Review

  • Nerdly
Stars: Sylvester Stallone, Matthew Modine, Christopher McDonald, Ryan Guzman, Meadow Williams, Colin Egglesfield, Baylee Curran, Jenna Willis, Heather Johansen, Swen Temmel | Written by Mike Maples | Directed by Brian A. Miller

Directed by Brian A. Miller and written by Mike Maples, Backtrace stars one of the most famous actors of all time, Sylvester Stallone and Matthew Modine. Modine plays Macdonald, a bank robber who can’t recall when he hid millions of dollars, and a bunch of people want to know the answer to the riddle. Stallone plays Sykes, a cop who, along with Franks, an FBI agent played by Christopher McDonald, are out for information about what’s going on. The premise is simple, it doesn’t really attempt to be more than it is, and this is, without frills or excuses, an action crime movie. Hell, within the first five minutes there’s been more bullets fired than a Walking Dead finale.

9-1-1 Ep Tackles Those Romantic Finale Twists, Teases Buck's Season 3 'Crisis'

9-1-1 Ep Tackles Those Romantic Finale Twists, Teases Buck's Season 3 'Crisis'
For an episode about a serial bomber targeting one of the 118’s finest, Monday’s 9-1-1 season finale ended on a surprisingly hopeful note. Not only did Bobby and Athena tie the knot in a private, spur-of-the-moment wedding ceremony, but Maddie decided she was ready to start something “new” with Chimney, and Hen’s wife Karen floated the idea of expanding their little family.

(Speaking of little families, raise your hand if you got a little weepy when Christopher brought Eddie his firefighter hat during his induction ceremony. Oh, everyone?)

Unfortunately, the hour didn’t end spectacularly for everyone.

After screening an episode which Minear called a “sampler platter” of the series, the group came out and shortly after, moderator Tim Stack of Entertainment Weekly pointed out that Choi was there so it’s a good sign that Chimney is still alive after his life was hanging in the balance at the end of the episode. Stack point black asked him if he survives.
