Mini Bio (1)
Aidan James is an award-winning singer-songwriter, music producer and actor originally from Hawaii, now living in Los Angeles. Although the ukulele is most known for its Hawaiian tradition, Aidan has elevated its style and sound, streamlining it into a contemporary, urban pop genre. Add in his warm vocals, a loop station, and effect pedals, this teen phenom creates his own unique artistry. This "cool teen" not only embraces the music industry but balances his busy life taking on acting roles as well.
Music: At the age 4, Aidan picked up the ukulele, became a YouTube sensation at 8, and started songwriting at 11 years old. The then preteen had been on "Hawaii Five-0", HBO's "Saving My Tomorrow," Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series, the cover of Midweek, Hawaiian Airlines' magazine, Hana Hou, and featured in HI Luxury and Ukulele Magazines. At age 13, Aidan was the youngest artist ever to be nominated for a "Hawaii Grammy" - a Na Hoku Hanohano Award. He joined Train on tour in 2016, supported Michael Bolton, Jack Johnson, and Lisa Loeb in concert, and had his own show at the legendary Blue Note Hawaii. He continues to spend his time in his home studio songwriting, collaborating with various artists and producing music.
Acting: Aidan's acting career started at the very young age of 18 months for a network TV pilot. He continued to get cast in local commercials and short films that shot in Hawaii. Aidan was also featured in print work for Pottery Barn and Aulani Disney Resort. At the age of 8, he was cast in "Hawaii Five-0" singing and playing the ukulele and featured in an award-winning film festival trailer later that year. He played "Rico" in the successful indie film, "Under The Blood Red Sun" and was asked by HBO to write a song for their series, "Saving My Tomorrow" which he was featured on. Aidan played himself as "ukulele boy" on Adam Devine's "House Party" and was recently cast in the Netflix TV series, "Alexa and Katie."
