The Gifted “rX” Promo Is Just What The Doctor Ordered

Despite being a lifelong fan of the X-Men, I must confess that I had some reservations heading into the series premiere of The Gifted. To put it mildly, I wondered if such an endeavor could be capably handled on a major network, especially considering that its roster was made up by mostly D-list characters. Thankfully, my worries were put to bed as Bryan Singer, Matt Nix and the rest of the crew proved that this franchise has so much depth that it makes failure difficult. Face it, Marvel: Your best and most interesting characters all belong to Fox.

With that, it’s exciting to see that next week’s episode, “rX,” looks to be every bit as thrilling as the pilot episode. Truth be told, we wouldn’t doubt if some snippets here were culled from episodes to follow, as teasing what’s to come in the foreseeable future isn’t unheard of in television,

Caitlin And Eclipse Team Up To Try And Help Blink On An All-new “The Gifted” Monday, October 9, On Fox

After exerting her powers beyond their limits, Blink (Jamie Chung, “Big Hero 6,” “The Hangover Part II”) goes into a state of shock, forcing Caitlin (Amy Acker, “Person of Interest”) and Eclipse (Sean Teale, “Survivor”) to go on a mission to find a special serum that will help her to recover. Meanwhile, Reed (Stephen Moyer, “True Blood,” Shots Fired) faces some difficult choices when it comes to helping his family, and Polaris (Emma Dumont, “Bunheads,” “Aquarius”) runs into some trouble in the all-new “rX” episode of The Gifted airing Monday, Oct. 9 (9:00-

Polaris Sports A Fresh Look In First Photos From The Gifted Season 1, Episode 2

Much digital ink has been spilled regarding The Gifted, Fox and Marvel’s small-screen drama involving the Struckers, a regular ol’ American family who soon discover that their two children – namely Lauren (Gotham’s Natalie Alyn Lind) and Andy (Percy Hynes White) – boast mutant abilities. Dangerous abilities.

That places them between the crosshairs of some nefarious organizations, who want nothing more but to round up any and all mutants and subject them to gruesome, unspeakable tests. And so, in order to protect their children, Reed and Caitlin Strucker – played here by Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker, respectively – take a leaf out of Logan‘s book and go on the run.

Granted, The Gifted is yet to release, but those fortunate few who have already caught a screening of its premiere episode, “eXposed,” have lumped praise on the X-Men spinoff, and in a bid to keep that momentum ticking over, a

Meme: Eric Braeden Is Out Of Touch, Wisdom From "Rugrats," and "Misfits" Pings My Radar

Conservative British MP Nigel Evans has come out after pressure from a gay liberal politician and a chat with a fabulous soap star from Coronation Street. Evans voted against equalizing the age of consent and fought to leave the horrid Section 28 as law. I guess the rule about conservative anti-gay politicians remains true on either side of the ocean.

Matt Dillon is set to play Claire’s ex-boyfriend on Modern Family. After how poorly Phil handled his ex-girlfriend when she turned up, I’m hoping for more of the same. And that there’s an underwear scene for Dillon.

Shonda Rhimes has had a non-medical series picked up to pilot. This one is about public relations and crisis management. I’m willing to bet that we get at least one plot with a famous person facing being forcefully outed, but not a single regularly recurring character who’s gay.

Clay Aiken Splits From Gay Partner Reed Kelly

Singer Clay Aiken has reportedly split from Broadway star Reed Kelly. The former "American Idol" star revealed he was homosexual in 2008, and was linked to Broadway dancer Kelly shortly afterwards.

But the couple appears to have gone its separate ways - Kelly has changed his status to 'single' on his MySpace.com page, according to gossip website Perez Hilton.

Clay Aiken was first reported having a romantic relationship with Reed Kelly in late 2008. An insider said Aiken met Kelly when he was doing "Spamalot" in early 2008. "Everybody knows Reed as Clay's guy," the insider gushed about the twosome. "It was obvious they were a couple."

Reed reportedly helped Aiken raise his son Parker Foster Aiken, whom he has after artificially inseminating Jaymes Foster, his friend and record producer.
