Film4 FrightFest's Amazing 2014 Line-up Announced! New Images Revealed!

The line-up for this year's Film4 FrightFest in London has just been announced – and boy, is it a doozy! Sporting a record-breaking 38 UK/European premieres and 11 world premieres, this August is going to be an exciting time in the genre calendar.

Check it all out right here, including lots of new images!

This year Film4 FrightFest will be moving from its previous home at Leicester Square's Empire Cinema to the nearby Vue Cinema (also on Leicester Square), prompting an ingenious reshuffle of the screening arrangements.

All main screen films will be presented at different times across three different screens, with two extra screens reserved for single-slot screenings of the various films hitting this year's Discovery Screens.

Frightfest 2014 – Full Line-up Announced

Film4 FrightFest 2014, returning for its 15th year, unveils its biggest line-up ever. From Thurs 21 August to Monday 25 August, the UK’s leading event for genre fans will be at the Vue West End, Leicester Square, to present sixty-four films plus twenty shorts across five screens. We've been talking about the upcoming terror tale Altergeist for a few days now and have showed you stills and artwork. Interested? If you are you can now participate in an effort to bring the movie to your town!

Altergeist will hold a premiere screening in a U.S. city chosen by online voters who “Demand My City.”

Tedi Sarafian, writer of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Tank Girl, makes his feature directorial debut with the horror/sci-fi thriller Altergeist. Sarafian, cast members, and the producers will attend the premiere screening in the city with the most online votes, and certain lucky voters will be invited to the premiere party, announced Aaron Heck, President HeckArt Studios.

First time director Tedi Sarafian has brought his paranormal thriller, titled Altergeist, to the American Film Market. This title was originally called Sighting. It has since been renamed, after its completion in late 2013. This indie thriller features Kristina Anapau (Black Swan), Mark Hapka, David Weidoff and Linsey Godfrey. And, Altergeist, whose title is based on the German word for ghost, now has a trailer. The story for Altergeist begins with five paranormal investigators. They decide to search one of the most haunted locales in America's history, the King's Ransom Winery. ‘MERRIme.com’ Gets Exclusive Deal With Turner’s TheFrisky.com

Dating comedy web series MERRIme.com has inked an exclusive distribution deal with women's pop culture and dating site TheFrisky.com, owned by Turner Broadcasting. Created by actor-producer Kaily Smith along with David Weidoff, the indie web series was one of the higher caliber originals to be produced independently that we've seen lately. Shooting on the Red One camera, Smith teamed up with producer Shelley Stevens and director Sherwin Shilati to pull together the 20-episode series. Smith plays Merrideth 'Merri' Weisman, an attractive twentysomething Beverly Hills trust funder living the good life until her impulsive father, played by Tom Arnold, threatens to cut the cord if she doesn't get married soon. Her clinging friends, Mac (Jay Hayden) and Jessica (Andrea Syglowski), figure out a plan to get Merri hooked up back on the dating scene.
