Far from Home Director Is Jealous Spider-Verse Got to Miles Morales First
Following the stellar success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse it looks like Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far from Home director Jon Watts is jealous that he wasn't the first to bring the character of Miles Morales to the big screen. After all, the Cop Car and Clown filmmaker laid the groundwork for Morales in his first Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming with Community and Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Donald Glover playing Miles' uncle, Aaron Davis, who even goes so far as to mention his nephew in that flick.

When asked about Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse recently, Watts admitted this.

"I was jealous, I wanted to do the Miles story, too. But it's one of those situations that they did it so beautifully that you can't be mad. You just have to sit back and enjoy it."

Jon Watts went on to say that "the Miles story is one of

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 Will Continue Miles Morales' Story
Spider-Man: Homecoming director Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Far From Home is heading our way next month. But as excellent as this follow-up is sure to be, let's not forget about the other killer Spider-Man franchise we have out there Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. And speaking of the Academy Award-winning animated motion picture, today we have word via producer Amy Pascal that - no worries - the powers that be behind the scenes are working hard on Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2.

There have been some rumors that a Spider-Verse TV show may replace the sequel. Amy Pascal confirms this about a follow-up, saying that is not the case, and that the next animated big screen adventure will be a direct sequel to the Oscar winning original.

"We are definitely hard at work on the sequel. You can expect another movie. Well, of course it's going to be on the big

Sony’s semi-reinvention of their staple franchise superhero Spider-Man has had more rebooted and retooled cinematic incarnations in the last decade than Peter Parker has had warm meals. Announced/leaked during the infamous Sony hacks of 2014 and coming off a reboot of the tragically inept and doomed Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man series and the Marvel re-introduced McU participant Tom Holland, as well as the critically and financially successful video game of the same name.

Not only does it look and sound like there’s a form of overabundance and oversaturation for audiences, but does Sony really want to risk it all again

Puss In Boots 2 is in Development with Spider-man: Into The Spider-verse Director Bob Persichetti

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse co-director Bob Persichetti has landed his next big movie gig. DreamWorks Animation has hired him to direct the next installment in the Puss in Boots franchise.

The first Puss in Boots film was a spinoff of the Shrek franchise and it was released in 2011. It was a fun movie and ended up being a big hit, pulling in $550 million worldwide at the box office.

After all this time that has passed I didn’t expect to see a sequel happen, but it looks like DreamWorks Animation still feels that there is a market out there for it.

Persichetti has worked in the animation industry for two decades in a variety of capacities on films with DreamWorks Animation. He also served as the Head of Story and voiced a role in the original Puss in Boots film, so it seems like he is a solid fit to

Puss In Boots 2 Gets Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Director

Puss in Boots 2 is happening and the project has just lined up its director. Bob Persichetti, one of the co-directors of Sony's hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has been tapped by DreamWorks to helm the sequel. We had previously heard that the studio was looking to reboot these franchises, but this is being billed as a sequel and not a do-over. In any event, the swashbuckling cat is making a comeback.

According to a new report, Bob Persichetti has officially signed on to direct the sequel. Latifa Ouaou, who produced the original, will oversee the production for DreamWorks. Currently, there are no plot details available, nor is it clear when the sequel could actually get underway. It also hasn't been announced who will be penning the screenplay. It's expected that Antonio Banderas will return to voice the titular character, which he first played in Shrek 2 back in 2004. Beyond that,

DreamWorks Animation has found a director for the sequel to its Shrek spinoff Puss in Boots, with the studio tapping Bob Persichetti, co-director of Sony’s Oscar-winning animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Puss in Boots 2 was originally announced back in 2014 under the title Puss in Boots 2: Nine Lives & 40 Thieves, although it was subsequently removed from the schedule.
