Flashback: Hear Annie Lennox’s ‘Sing,’ Dedicated to AIDS Genocide Awareness
A track off her 2007 album Songs of Mass Destruction, “Sing” was inspired by Annie Lennox’s first meeting with South African activist Zackie Achmat at Nelson Mandela’s 46664 HIV/AIDS campaign in 2003. HIV positive himself, Achmat co-founded the Treatment Action Campaign, an organization that fights for AIDS treatment access and prevention.

“We need people like [Achmat], he fights the fight,” Lennox told the BBC in 2007. “He refused to take his anti-retroviral medication unless it was made affordable and available to everyone — a hugely courageous thing to do. Before then, I’d

Empire Season 5 Episode 7 Review: Treasons, Stratagems, and Spoils

If you gave up on Empire, then now would be the time to jump back in.

The show has had a rocky few years but Empire Season 5 is firing from all cylinders with the show's signature Omg twists, and Empire Season 5 Episode 7 didn't even save the biggest twists for the final scene.

Empire is at its best when the storylines naturally mesh together, and for now, the show is on a creative upswing with the characters trying to out-maneuver each other in the name of garnering some power.

Props to Greysfan2018 who for accurately predicting that Kingsley is the son of Lucious in the review of Empire Season 5 Episode 2. The reveal was executed so well what with Kingsley unfolding the picture of his mother to reveal a much-younger Lucious.

It gives depth to the character of Kingsley that was not there to begin with. Before "Treasons, Stratagems, and Spoils," he

‘Empire’ Season 5: The Lyons Sit Down for a Really Awkward Family Dinner With Jeff Kingsley (Exclusive Video)
Welcome to the Lyons den, Jeff Kingsley.

Following last week’s drama, “Empire” returns with a new Season 5 episode tomorrow. And if the clip above, which is exclusive to TheWrap, is any indication, it’s going to be a really awkward night, as Lucious, Cookie and their boys, welcome Empire Record’s new data-driven exec into their home to break bread.

Everything is fine and dandy — Cookie is bragging about her new social media influencer status and everyone is teasing Jamal about his new engagement — until Jeff brings up Lucious’ drug dealing past. Yeah, let’s just say collaborating to help Three Black Divas make a comeback is clearly not as easy as Giselle probably hoped it would be.

Song You Need to Know: Ray Angry, ‘It Might Be Gold’
One, the new first album from Ray Angry, isn’t like most debuts. That’s probably because the pianist isn’t exactly an up-and-comer: He’s got a huge list of playing, writing and producing credits dating back to the Nineties, including work with everyone from Mick Jagger to Joss Stone, Christina Aguilera, the Roots, Miguel and DJ Khaled. That might explain why One sounds more like the statement of an assured veteran.

Angry grew up steeped in gospel and classical, and his résumé ranges all over the musical map.
