Tom and Jerry Movie Shoot Left Michael Pena Very Excited: Man, That Was So Cool!
It's raining live-action reboots of beloved animation features in Hollywood, and the cat and mouse duo of Tom and Jerry will soon be added to the list. The live-action adaptation of the popular children's cartoon show is in the middle of filming, and Michael Pena, who plays a central character, Terrance, recently spoke about doing scenes for the film with co-star Chloe Moretz.

"Oh, man, that was so cool. Sometimes, you show up on these movies, and the actor is still trying to find it. I don't know if they're not prepared or whatever, but it happens every so often. But, Chloe Moretz was so on the money... She knew the script, and she was just awesome to go back and forth with. And Tim Story is just a stud.

There are some directors who are good indie directors or good dramatic directors, but he's a big movie director. He's

Marvel Reportedly Tweaking Fantastic Four’s Origin For The McU

With Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox last year, the Mouse House officially acquired the rights to additional Marvel characters including the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. And the thought of both properties eventually joining the McU is an enticing proposition, especially in the case of the latter.

While we’ve seen a number of great X-Men movies, the Fantastic Four are 0 for 3 (4 if you include that early ‘90s version) when it comes to feature films. Tim Story directed two goofy pics in the mid-’00s and besides the curiosity of seeing a young and pre-Cap Chris Evans in the role of the Human Torch, those movies have not aged well.

Then came the disaster that was the 2015 Fantastic Four. That’s a film that’s on my shortlist of Bts documentaries that would be must-see. Between the countless reshoots, bad wigs and director Josh Trank’s behavior on set,

The Fantastic Four’s McU Origin Story Has Been Revealed

Despite being part of one of the most famous and recognizable superhero teams in history after making their debut in 1961, and remaining relevant in the pages of Marvel comic books ever since, the Fantastic Four are still waiting for a big screen blockbuster that will finally do them justice.

They’ve been the subject of a low budget effort that was made just to retain the rights to the characters that was never even released, two Tim Story-directed adaptations that did decent business at the box office but didn’t get much love from either fans or critics, and a few years ago, they featured in one of the most notorious box office bombs in recent memory.

However, with the rights to the Fantastic Four finally under the Marvel Studios banner, folks are optimistic that they’ll soon get the cinematic treatment that they deserve. And while we won

Pallavi Sharda is on a roll with ‘Tom and Jerry’ and more

Pallavi Sharda.

In the last 18 months, actress Pallavi Sharda has barely lived life outside of a TV or film set.

Darting from the opulent sets of 18th century colonial India in Beecham House to grungy night shoots in Kings Cross recreating the gritty 1980s noir kingdom of underground crime lords in Les Norton, to getting messed up in the Bermuda Triangle set in New Zealand, and back to London again with Tom and Jerry, Sharda is definitely in forward motion.

As an Australia-born performer of Indian heritage, defining her place in the world and on screen has been at the core of Sharda’s career from its inception. It also informs much of her cultural advocacy work that she has passionately maintained throughout her hectic international filming schedules.

Sharda hasn’t baulked from calling out the limitations of the screen industry on representation and gender, both here and in Bollywood.

‘Watchmen’: How the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Influences the Series

  • Indiewire
Last Sunday, HBO’s “Watchmen” recreated the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921 in its first episode, boosting Google searches of the horrific event, one of the most devastating in American history.

There have been previous attempts to bring the Tulsa story to the screen – Oprah Winfrey, John Legend and Tim Story all had projects in the works at one time or another. But “Watchmen” is the first to do so on such a grand scale, highlighting a very important piece of American history and making its themes current. “What is creating the most anxiety in America right now? For me the answer is undeniably race,” series creator Damon Lindelof told NBC News. “Superheroes cannot defeat racism.”

With that, “Watchmen” becomes a cutting-edge treatise on our present-day upheaval. The new series remixes the DC Comics graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons, setting it in present day Tulsa, Okla., and not

Blu-ray Review – Shaft (2019)

Shaft, 2019.

Directed by Tim Story.

Starring Jessie T. Usher, Samuel L. Jackson, Richard Roundtree, Alexandra Shipp, Regina Hall, Matt Lauria, Avan Jogia, Lauren Vélez, Method Man, Almeera Jiwa, Ian Casselberry, Aaron Dominguez, and Isaach De Bankolé.

John Shaft Jr., a cyber security expert with a degree from MIT, enlists his family’s help to uncover the truth behind his best friend’s untimely death.

Whether you’re a fan of the Shaft franchise or a fan of Samuel L. Jackson just being pure Samuel L. Jackson in another action film, there is very little to love with 2019’s Shaft reboot, where Jackson once again reprises the role of the tough and street-wise private investigator John Shaft. The story is predictable and tired while much of the raunchy comedy falls flat. The only saving grace of the reboot is Jackson’s chemistry with Jessie T. Usher, who plays Shaft’s estranged son,

Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer Almost Included Nick Fury

Now that characters pertaining to the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool franchises reside under Disney’s umbrella and all that jazz involving Fox lies in the past, it’s not like we can just wipe it from our memory. Plus, it’s always fun learning new bits of trivia.

As you may already know, some characters existed within a legal grey area and were fair game for both Disney and Fox. Chief among them were Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch, the former of which wound up having two live action versions of him existing at the same time. The alien race known as the Skrulls were also of this ilk, though they wound up being called something else in Dark Phoenix.

Nick Fury, however, wasn’t residing over at Fox, though they did try to get him at one point. Believe it or not, Andre Braugher’s character in Fantastic

Chris Evans Rumored To Return To The McU For A Human Torch TV Series

Avengers: Endgame gave Chris Evans the perfect exit stage left out of the McU. But a new rumor has began to circulate that suggests the famed actor could very well find himself another place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Tvo from the Lords of the Long Box, Marvel’s been tossing the around the idea to bring Evans back to star in an original Human Torch television series. If this were to be the case, he wouldn’t be reprising his role from the Tim Story-directed Fantastic Four film. Instead, he’d be playing Jim Hammond, who began his existence as an android in Professor Phineas T. Horton’s laboratory.

What’s interesting to note is that the Hammond character’s first appearance dates back over 20 years before Johnny Storm’s, who’s been portrayed in both Fantasic Four film casts – first by Evans, and then again
