Martine Druelle-Ireland joins eOne

Martine Druelle-Ireland.

Martine Druelle-Ireland has joined global distributor Entertainment One (eOne) as vice president of sales, Australia, New Zealand and India, international distribution.

Based in Sydney and reporting to Joyce Yeung, eOne’s executive VP, sales, Apac international distribution, she is responsible for overseeing sales of eOne’s film and television slate across pay TV/Svod and free TV.

The eOne slate includes eOne-produced films such as Stan & Ollie and Wild Rose and the TV series The Rookie, Designated Survivor, Cardinal, Private Eyes, The Walking Dead and Ransom.

She succeeds Ben Bishop, who moved to Narcos distributor Gaumont in December in the newly created role of VP, TV distribution, Apac.

Her appointment comes as eOne gets ready to close its Australian theatrical distribution and marketing operations, with Universal Pictures taking over in April.

Whitechapel' series four's horror-themed penultimate episode is perhaps its best so far. Here's Becky's review...

After last week's horror-themed shenanigans, Whitechapel opened its fifth episode with the team going through their very own zombie apocalypse in a hilariously over-dramatic role-playing exercise.

The zombie training served as an amusing opening, but it also demonstrated just how much the team are struggling to work with each other. No one is listening to Chandler or Miles, Buchan gets a bit too carried away and Mansell, Ripley and Kent are at each other's throats. It's a dynamic that continues through the episode as they struggle to solve a case involving missing organs and possible cannibalism. Yes, another episode not for the faint of heart.

A reverse of sorts from last week, there’s no flaying this time around, just careful surgery, gaping chest wounds and absent livers.
