20 Random 'Friends' Facts Every Fan Should Know

  • Moviefone
So you call yourself a "Friends" fan, eh? You've seen every episode, know all the lyrics to that darn theme song, and consider classic lines ("could I Be wearing anymore clothes?") part of your everyday vocabulary.

"Friends" premiered 20 years ago today on September 22, 1994, and we thought we would honor that big anniversary by putting together 20 little-known facts about the iconic series. Want to see if you're the master of "Friends" trivia? Look no further:

1. Original titles considered for the show included Six of One, Friends Like Us, Insomnia Cafe, and Across the Hall.

2. The apartment numbers got switched as the series went on. Monica and Rachel's original apartment number was 5, but was later changed to 20 because 5 was too small a number for such a high floor. Joey and Chandler's was switched from 4 to 19.

3. Jon Favreau and Jon Cryer were up for the role of Chandler. As you may remember, Jon Favreau

Who was that masked man? The Legend of Klinton Spilsbury.
Resurrecting the Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp must’ve sounded like one of the all-time Hollywood no-brainers when it was pitched to Disney in 2011. After all, the mysterious masked man used to be the all-American icon with the greatest chase-music (“The William Tell Overture”), the greatest sidekick (Tonto), and the greatest catchphrase (“Hi-yo, Silver, away!”). Plus, though Depp is playing a boldly reimagined Tonto opposite Armie Hammer’s Ranger, he was reuniting with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, the creative triumvirate that made Disney billions with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. But getting The Lone Ranger into

Exclusive Q&A with Kevin Sorbo, Stelio Savante and Stephen Wallis on romantic comedy The Whole Banana

Upcoming movie The Whole Banana may feature elements of ancient Greek mythology but, as the whimsical title suggests, it's far removed from any of the other recent productions that have clashed their immortal titans on the big screen.

Instead of a gritty action film with furious gods and fire-spewing fiends locked in deadly battle, you will find a heartwarming tale of charm and humour that promises to show us what it means to be human.

Filming is under way in Los Angeles on the romantic comedy, whose all-star cast of movie and TV favourites includes Kevin Sorbo (Hercules) and Kristy Swanson (Buffy), with large cameo roles from Matthew Perry (Friends) and Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman). We previously reported that Resident Evil actress Sienna Guillory and the Farley brothers had also signed on to the production.

The story sees the Greek god Hermes (Sorbo) help a

Four Questions With The Whole Banana Cast

Hi guys! Melissa here with an exciting new tale. The Whole Banana, an indie comedy slated to release in 2013, just wrapped up filming… and I had the chance to ask Kevin Sorbo, Kristy Swanson, Stelio Savante, and director Stephen Wallis a few questions.

In The Whole Banana, A Greek god (Kevin Sorbo) helps a struggling artist (Kristy Swanson) with her lagging love life. Dominique Swain plays Swanson.s best friend and confidant and Stelio Savante portrays Swain.s long suffering husband. Matthew Perry will play Apollo, brother to Sorbo.s Hermes. Clint Howard (The Dilemma, How The Grinch Stole Christmas) and Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil) play Fran.s fellow nicotine anonymous addicts. Brought to the screen by Magik Shoppe Pictures, Stephen Wallis (Rain from Stars, The Wicked Within) directs and produces along with John Bennett Perry, Stelio Savante and Tom Fox.

Farley brothers join Sienna Guillory, Matthew Perry, Dean Cain, Kevin Sorbo in Greek gods comedy The Whole Banana

Greek mythology is an inspiration for many big-screen productions at present.

These include Immortals; Clash of the Titans and its imminent sequel Wrath of the Titans; and Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief, also getting a follow-up in the form of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

Now it's a case of Greek mirth as the gods of the ancient world are given a humorous twist in The Whole Banana.

Brothers Kevin P. Farley (Joe Dirt, The Waterboy) and John Farley (Jack and Jill, Get Smart) - both pictured above in 2008's Blonde and Blonder - have been announced as signing on to the romantic comedy in as-yet-unspecified roles.

They join a cast including Resident Evil star Sienna Guillory, Kristy Swanson, Kevin Sorbo, Dominique Swain, Stelio Savante, Clint Howard and Jeffrey Vincent Parise.

Matthew Perry (Friends, The Whole Nine Yards) and Dean Cain (Lois & Clarke: The New Adventures of Superman, Five Days
