Timothée Chalamet Calls Safdie Brothers’ ‘Uncut Gems’ The ‘Ride of an Absolute Lifetime’

It’s only a matter of time before native New Yorker Timothée Chalamet joins forces with Gotham’s most exciting filmmaking duo, but until the actor stars in a film from Josh and Benny Safdie, it seems Chalamet is content to commit his admiration for the pair to paper. In the newest issue of Variety, dedicated to its “New Power of New York list,” the “Lady Bird” and “Beautiful Boy” star pens a loving essay about the brothers and their work. Could an on-screen collaboration be far behind?

“The pair have continuously put out contemporary, raw and untethered work over the last decade, each film building on the traits of the prior, but never once sacrificing their innate grittiness,” Chalamet writes, before expounding on the charms of their earlier films like “Daddy Longlegs” and “Good Time.”

Chalamet continues, “But 2019 has given us the brothers’ most full-throated, most wholehearted, most complete

The video kicks off by setting up the new adventure before launching into the new tune. We hear Idina Menzel belting out the lyrics as action-packed footage from Frozen 2 plays in the background. While it will be very difficult to replicate the success of something like Let It Go, it's easy to understand how this could be a solid start. Co-director Chris Buck had this to say in a statement.

"The music of the Lopezes and Christophe Beck are part of the DNA of Frozen. We couldn't imagine building Frozen 2 without them.

Frozen II Soundtrack Songs and Details

David Crow Sep 30, 2019

Disney has released the full soundtrack and song list for Frozen II, as well as clips of Elsa and Olaf's big numbers.

Autumn might only be in its early stages, and yet we suspect many a child (and maybe just as many adults) are ready to build a snowman. The imminent arrival of Frozen II has that effect on people. Six years after the original film captured the imagination of the youngest generation—and put its enchanted songbook into everyone else’s head, whether they wanted it there or not—Anna and Elsa are back. And with them comes the unenviable task of crafting a Frozen II soundtrack on par with the original.

Luckily, Walt Disney Animation Studios has compiled the same songwriting team as the original with Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, as well as score composer Christophe Beck. Additionally, the vocal talent that made the

  • Indiewire
The making of “Frozen 2” (November 22) came at a tumultuous time for Disney Animation, as the film’s writer-director Jennifer Lee succeeded John Lasseter as chief creative officer. You could say that she went from being Anna to Elsa in her rise to the top. “But you don’t know if that’s a good thing or not — you haven’t seen the rest of the movie,” Lee told IndieWire, laughing, after introducing about 30 minutes of footage.

What we do know is the sequel to the Oscar-winning “Frozen” mega-blockbuster continues the adventures of siblings Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel) by unlocking the mystery of Elsa’s magical icy power and why their parents died in a shipwreck at sea. It’s all connected to an enchanted forest and the elemental forces of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth, animated in a dazzling display of effects and character work, joined together
