Some Big Name Wrestlers Jumping Ship To Mma?

Bellator Mma

Bobby Lashley returned to Mma action last weekend, picking up a win at Bellator 138 (which featured Youtube star Kimbo Slice defeating Ufc/WWE legend Ken Shamrock in the main event) that marks his third victory in a row in the promotion.

However, in the lead up to his second round Tko over Bellator/Rage in the Cage vet Dan Charles, Lashley let slip a little tidbit to Submission Radio that many in the wrestling world may find interesting. According to the former WWE superstar/Tna champ, several past/present pro wrestlers are currently planning to jump ship to the world of Mma. And while he didn’t name names, he did note that there was more than one who could potentially make the jump.

Let the speculation begin!

To date, Lashley is the only fighter to successfully juggle both professions, but it’s likely that in this case,

From Larry Stylinson to the Vomit Shrine: Vulture’s One Direction Glossary
With the release of their new album Four, One Direction is making deliberate strides towards shedding their "boy band manufactured by Simon Cowell after being voted out of X Factor" image. But as Paul Rudd's fanatic adult Directioner character Dan Charles on Saturday Night Live illustrates, we Directioners are not so quick to forget: The 1D fandom is infamous for (among other things) its all-or-nothing attitude regarding the band's origin stories. One Direction Outshines Paul Rudd In ‘SNL’ Skits — Watch

The ‘Anchorman’ actor may have been the host of the Dec. 7 episode of ‘Saturday Night Live,’ but it was clear that everyone was there to see 1D. And the boys killed it, appearing in the opening monologue And a later skit!

The One Direction guys’ great senses of humor have been well-documented, so we were hoping they’d get a chance to flex their comedic muscles as the musical guest on the Dec. 7 episode of Saturday Night Live. And we were not disappointed.

One Direction Outshines Paul Rudd On ‘SNL

Right away, host Paul Rudd joked that he wasn’t worried about being overshadowed by the musical guest. “Tonight is the Paul Rudd show,” he stated. On cue, the crowd then cheered wildly as Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik strode onto the stage behind Paul.

'Saturday Night Live': Paul Rudd hosts with returning favorites - Watch videos of the best and worst sketches

The third time hosting was the charm for Paul Rudd.

When Rudd returned to host "Saturday Night Live" on Saturday (Dec. 7), he brought his energy, his commitment to the sketches (even when that called for embarrassingly dorky dancing or fangirling), and his "Anchorman" co-stars along for the ride. With the return of Will Ferrell (and his classic "Bill Brasky!" sketch) also came the triumphant return of Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen. You put all these amazing parts together and you get one of this season's best episodes so far.

Don't believe us? Watch videos of the best and worst sketches below, then let us know what you think in the comments:

Best: Cold open -- "Sound of Music Live! and Condensed!"

In this condensed version of "The Sound of Music Live!," Captain von Trapp introduces his children, including Dooneese, to their new governess Maria. This made us love "Sound of Music" again,

Paul Rudd Hosts Saturday Night Live: Watch Video of the Best and Worst Sketches

Paul Rudd Hosts Saturday Night Live: Watch Video of the Best and Worst Sketches
The stars came out to help Paul Rudd host Saturday Night Live this week, but the veteran funnyman wound up shining brightest of all — scoring genuinely big laughs in roles as varied as a One Direction fan, a male model in 1500s Italy and Santa Claus in the middle of a midlife crisis.

Granted, the writing was (in typical SNL fashion) a mixed bag, but Rudd — along with Steve Carell, Will Ferrell, David Koechner, plus Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis and Niall — worked overtime to ensure an above-average installment. Below, my picks for best and worst sketches:

Best: Dan Charles, One Direction

'SNL' recap: Paul Rudd brings a parade of surprise guest stars -- Video

'SNL' recap: Paul Rudd brings a parade of surprise guest stars -- Video
Shrieeeek! Oh. My. God. You guys, it’s… One Direction! No, Paul Rudd! Wait, no, Kristen Wiig! Fred Armisen?! Will Ferrell! David Koechner! Steve Carell! … Bill Brasky?!?!?!

Deep breaths, dear SNL-watching, squee-happy readers, because even though last night’s show paraded out surprise guests like Captain von Trapp did his children in The Sound of Music Live & Condensed, the strong sketches that opened the evening quickly led to lackluster ones with diminishing returns that didn’t effectively showcase host Paul Rudd nor had any particularly inspired ideas (there are exceptions, of course — more on those below).

None of this is Paul Rudd’s fault.

'Anchorman' Cast Faces Off Against One Direction on 'SNL'

'Anchorman' Cast Faces Off Against One Direction on 'SNL'
It's holiday season at SNL, which means that Lorne Michaels has stocked the lineup with reliable charmers like Paul Rudd, hosting for the third time. In his monologue, the Anchorman 2 actor joked about always being overshadowed by his musical guest, which was Beyonce the first time, Paul McCartney the second, and One Direction this time around. In fact, Rudd has gotten great comedic mileage out of these musicians; the sketch in which he played Beyonce's "Single Ladies" choreographer was a classic, and he did a memorable monologue about
