Personal Quote:

[1978] [Woody Allen] has good navigational instinct in this writing mass of egos and good and bad advice. He's not afraid to engage, even though the world perceives him as reclusive. He's a very good friend. He's dependable, helpful. He works hard, he's ethical. He saves string. See more »

Trivia:

Was a member of the folk trio The Tarriers in the late 1950s, with Eric Weissberg and Alan Arkin. He played bluegrass guitar on the 1963 album "New Dimensions in Banjo and Bluegrass" with Weissberg; this was later reissued as "Dueling Banjos", a pseudo-soundtrack album for Deliverance (1972) (the title track was the only piece that was actually used in the film).
