Don't Get Me Started on the Dance Scene in She's All That

  • Popsugar

Nothing says '90s teen movie better than the iconic choreographed dance scene in She's All That. The 1999 film celebrated its 20th anniversary on Jan. 29, and there are more than a few memorable, quotable moments that make it a classic. Who could forget Laney walking down the stairs for the big makeover reveal? Or Zack's bizarre hacky-sack performance? Or the couple eventually dancing to Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me," a song that still makes me think of my middle school boyfriend? The true highlight, though - for me, anyway - is the flash-mob dance sequence. It's teen-movie perfection, a nostalgic 10 out of 10.

Set unforgettably to Fatboy Slim's "The Rockafeller Skank," the dance takes place at the prom, where Usher - who plays the school DJ (!!!) - kicks things off by telling the crowd, "Right about now, we're going to do that dance I taught you,

Rachael Leigh Cook Shares the Secrets of Why She's All That Has Stayed Special for 20 Years

Rachael Leigh Cook Shares the Secrets of Why She's All That Has Stayed Special for 20 Years
Grab a hacky sack and cue up "Kiss Me": She's All That hit theaters 20 years ago. In the iconic teen rom-com, Rachael Leigh Cook and Freddie Prinze Jr. star as Laney Boggs, a "dorky" (that would definitely be "adorkable" now) art student, and Zack Siler, student body president and captain of the soccer team. After getting dumped by his girlfriend Taylor Vaughan (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) for former reality star Brock Hudson (Matthew Lillard), Zack makes a bet with his buddy Dean Sampson (Paul Walker) that he can turn any girl into the prom queen—even, gasp, shy, brainy Laney. "When you read a script—if that script is a solid 8, 9, really good—you can usually...

Legacies received a visit from a Vampire Diaries veteran this week after a necromancer raised Jo Laughlin (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) from the dead in yet another attempt to swipe that mysterious knife from Alaric's (Matt Davis) possession. Legacies Photos: Is There Hope for Jolaric?

Well, this is unexpected.

Legacies Season 1 Episode 6 is bringing back Jodi Lyn O'Keefe as Jo.

Alaric's one-time love and the mother of Lizzie and Josie was killed in brutal fashion by Kai on The Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 21.

The character subsequently popped up on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 when Alaric managed to bring her back from the dead.

However, it was not the Jo he knew and loved. We did get a glimpse of Jo on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 16, and she was apparently at peace watching Alaric and their daughters moving on.

But now she's back in the land of the living, and it's going to cause a lot of problems.

Have a look at the photos below, and be sure to hit the comments with your theory on what brings Jo back.

20 Crazy Details Behind The Making Of She’s All That

Every decade produces its share of classic teen movies. The 1990s gave us quite a few, including Dazed and Confused, American Pie, and 10 Things I Hate About You. Then, of course, there's She's All That, which became a surprise hit in January of 1999, earning $63 million at the North American box office and another $39 million globally. The film tapped into the youth market in a big way with its simple, yet relatable story.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. plays Zack, a high school student whose snooty girlfriend Taylor (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) dumps him for a reality TV star. He consoles himself by bragging that he's popular enough to get any girl he wants and, in the process, make her so popular that she becomes the prom queen. Zack's pal Dean (Paul Walker) bets that he can't do it to Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook), a frumpy and unpopular girl who's way more into art than dating.

The ‘Halloween’ Franchise Ranked From the Worst to Best Slash

The ‘Halloween’ Franchise Ranked From the Worst to Best Slash
There was no way to predict that a low-budget, independent horror movie with a no-name cast would go on to become one of the most influential films in cinematic history. But 40 years ago, John Carpenter built the framework for one of the most successful franchises ever and helped create the “slasher” genre with the 1978 smash Halloween.

In the ensuing years, Michael Myers (aka The Shape) became one of culture’s preeminent boogeymen, Carpenter’s haunting theme continued to set an ominous mood and the fictional town of Haddonfield dealt with a serious body count problem. While the motivations for Michael’s actions grew more convoluted, he remained a terrifying force four decades later.

Now, with a new Halloween in the works from director David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride, featuring original star Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate survivor, Et decided it was time to look back on the franchise to determine which film is a dull

Calling All Vampire Diaries Conspiracy Theorists! How Can Alaric Be a [Spoiler]?
Sure, we know that The Vampire Diaries' most handsome and irresponsible teacher, Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis), is a dad in the tumblr sense of the word. But after Thursday's episode, which featured a flash-forward showing the grieving widower as a father of two small children, we're thinking he might actually be an actual dad too. Like, a father. To twins! Meaning...something super crazy and supernatural is happening here, because as we know, his pregnant wife was massacred by the evil Kai shortly after Alaric and Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) tied the knot at the end of season six. And sure, she was resurrected using some questionable magic at the end of this week's episode, but even if that sticks, there's no...
