Jamie Kennedy Looks Back at Scream 2 and Randy's Death
In light of Jamie Kennedy returning to the horror genre with the new slasher movie Trick, the actor is looking back at his memorable role from Wes Craven's Scream series. In the original 1996 movie, Kennedy appeared as horror movie expert Randy Meeks, co-starring with Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Rose McGowan, Matthew Lillard, and Skeet Ulrich. The character was also featured prominently in the 1997 sequel Scream 2, although he was controversially killed off halfway through.

Reflecting on his role as Randy in the classic horror movies, Jamie Kennedy admits he isn't thrilled about his character's death in the sequel, but still holds both movies in very high regard. From a new interview with TooFab:

"It's crazy how 2 is almost as good as 1. It's hard to say anything's better than 1, because it was the one that did it, put it on the map. 2 just holds up so well, it's

Review: Trick Delivers Up Some Unexpected Halloween Treats for Slasher Fans

  • DailyDead
To be perfectly honest, I was already half in the bag for Patrick Lussier’s Trick when it was first announced: I’m a big fan of many of Lussier’s directorial efforts (I’ll forever stand by my belief that Dracula 2000 is way more fun than it ever gets credit for), an even bigger fan of his editorial output, and have enjoyed his collaborative efforts with Todd Farmer over the last decade (who he also worked with on Trick) as well. Plus, with a cast that boasts the likes of Omar Epps, Tom Atkins, and Jamie Kennedy, and the fact that it's set around the Halloween season, I was more than primed for some slasher-ific fun with Trick, and as a whole, I was not disappointed.

The story begins several years earlier at a Halloween party, when a group of high schoolers are playing a version of “spin

Patrick Lussier Returns to Horror with Slasher Feature Trick: First Trailer and Poster

Canadian and American filmmaker Patrick Lussier's next film is titled Trick. This film fan knows Lussier from his competent storytelling and shooting of Vampires II & III, which this writer saw for the first time, recently. Both films are amazingly well done - for an indie production. With Trick, Lussier is sticking with horror as killer Patrick "Trick" Weaver returns, after a tragedy several years earlier. Now, Trick is returning every Halloween, to finish what he started. Trick was co-written by Todd Farmer. Farmer and Lussier have worked together on My Bloody Valentine 3D (2009) and Drive Angry (Bloody Disgusting). And, their latest stars: Omar Epps (Dracula 2000), Ellen Adair, Kristina Reyes, Jamie Kennedy and Tom Atkins. The first poster and trailer, for the film, are hosted here. Trick Trailer Gives Birth to a New Halloween Slasher

  • MovieWeb
Rlje Films has released the first trailer for Trick. This is the latest from duo Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier. The two previously helmed movies such as Drive Angry, which starred Nicolas Cage}, as well as My Bloody Valentine 3D, which put a new spin on an old classic. This time around, the two are back for some more horror movie shenanigans, as they've crafted what looks to be a movie cut from the cloth of classic slashers. If this trailer is any indication, at the very least, we're going to witness a high body count stack up in this one.

The trailer kicks off in relatively typical horror movie fashion. We see some young folks getting rowdy at a party. Things take a messy, deadly turn pretty quickly though. Who would have thought a game of spin the knife would end badly? Things take a trip down a road

Movie Review – Ad Astra (2019)

Ad Astra, 2019.

Directed by James Gray.

Starring Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler, Donald Sutherland, Jamie Kennedy, John Ortiz, Greg Bryk, Kimberly Elise, Loren Dean, John Finn, Anne McDaniels, LisaGay Hamilton, Kimmy Shields, Alyson Reed, Ravi Kapoor, Bobby Nish, and Natasha Lyonne.

Synopsis:

Astronaut Roy McBride undertakes a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe.

Ad Astra is assuredly going to be a polarizing experience, although a breathtakingly gorgeous one regardless of where you thoughts land. Not unusual for the genre, it’s a cold and distant film about an emotionally detached astronaut, which will always undoubtedly be a challenge to some, but, in this case especially, also reap rewards for those eager enough to unpack what is certainly a complex second half where daddy issues and sons suffering
