‘Eat Brains Love’ Review: Dir. Rodman Flender [Frightfest 2019]

Eat Brains Love review: Rodman Flender takes us back to the hey day of teen movies with the rather charming tale of teen zombies on the run.

Jake (Jake Cannavale) is a high school stoner with no drive or ambition, other than to try and snag the hottest girl in school Amanda (Angelique Rivera). After a one night stand with a random girl, he isn’t feeling too good. It turns out that he’s becoming a zombie; in this world, the virus is an elaborate Std spread by unprotected sex. His turn coincides with Amanda’s and the pair end up on the run together as another teen, psychic Cass (Sarah Yarkin) and the organisation she works for, the Ncd (Necrotic Control Department), hunt them down.

In 1999 director Rodman Flender made one of the greatest teen movies of the nineties, Idle Hands. The film

Devon Sawa Would Love to Do Idle Hands 2, But It'll Probably Never Happen
Idle Hands is one of those cult classic horror movies which never got a sequel, but if someone in Hollywood wants to make one, star Devon Sawa is on board to return. As time goes on, it certainly seems less and less likely we'll ever seen an official follow-up to the 1999 movie. Still, because other classic movies from the '80s and '90s are often getting modern sequels these days, it's definitely possible.

While Devon Sawa doesn't seem to be holding his breath, he admits he'd love to be a part of it should it one day get the green light.

"I would love that to happen but unfortunately the first one didn't... I think it broke even or something like that, but you never know. You never know."

Directed by Rodman Flender and written by Terri Hughes and Ron Milbauer, Idle Hands stars Sawa as stoner teenager Anton Tobias.

Idle Hands Star Devon Sawa Says He’d Make A Sequel In A Heartbeat

Howdy all. I’m having a crummy day. A repairman spilled gross A/C water on my PC, along with other parts of my mostly-carpeted apartment, and the computer is acting stupid now. I’m trying not to freak out by keeping busy, because, as they say, Idle Hands are the Devil’s playthings.

Speaking of which, I guess Devon Sawa, star of the aforementioned film, needs something to do to keep his fingers moving because he recently expressed a desire to revisit the cult classic. When asked by about doing another entry, the actor got pretty excited, saying:

“In a heartbeat. If there was one film that I want to do a sequel to that would be the one. Just because that set was, between Elden [Henson], and Seth Green, and Vivica Fox, [Jessica] Alba, Jack Noseworthy, and all those people, it was like summer camp and it was so much fun!

Godzilla: King of the Monsters didn’t exactly make a Kaiju-sized splash at the box office, but for many fans, it was still great to see the atomic breathing lizard back on the big screen. Now, thanks to a new interview with the filmmaker, we know about quite a few secret performances in one of the movie’s biggest actions sequences.

“I knew we were shooting this sequence

How Robot Chicken Has Evolved Over 200 Episodes

Aaron Sagers Jul 17, 2019

Adult Swim's Robot Chicken is celebrating 200 episodes of stop motion pop culture parody this year.

For some people, getting older means putting away childish things. For Seth Green, not only did he not put away his toys, he put them to work. The result became Robot Chicken, the stop motion sketch comedy show he created with Matthew Senreich.

Originating as Sweet J Presents on Sony’s in 2001, Robot Chicken debuted on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim in February 2005, just weeks after Green’s 31st birthday. The show combined toys and claymation figures to comment on modern popular culture and nostalgically lampoon both the classics and the obscure. Now, 14 years later, the series is about to celebrate its 10th season, 200th episode, and make a triumphant return to Sdcc.

Meanwhile, Green, known for his work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Family Guy, and his recent live-action feature directorial debut,

How TV is Putting the ‘B’ in Lgbtq — And Why It Matters
“Mom. Dad. I know you don’t want to talk about this, but I do. I might get married to a man, like you so clearly want. And I might not. Because this is not a phase, and I need you to understand that. I’m bisexual.” That’s Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s resident no-nonsense detective, pouring out her heart to her parents in the show’s landmark 100th episode. To which her dad (Danny Trejo) stoically replies, “There’s no such thing as being bisexual.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming Has a Well-Hidden Howard the Duck Easter Egg
Jon Watts and the cast of Spider-Man: Far from Home are currently out promoting the upcoming sequel. During a recent fan Q&a, Watts was asked whether or not there were any undiscovered Easter Eggs in 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming and as it turns out, there is one and it has to do with Howard the Duck. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of Easter Eggs that nobody has discovered yet, just ask Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn.

The Howard the Duck Easter Egg in Spider-Man: Homecoming is hidden really well. This is a movie McU fans have seen multiple times and nobody has offered up just exactly where this reference is. Jon Watts admits that it's hidden extremely well and notes fans might not ever find it at all. He had this to say about the Howard the Duck Easter Egg.

"It's like almost so obscure that I

Macaulay Culkin as Joker in The Batman? Some Fans Really Want It

Macaulay Culkin as Joker in The Batman? Some Fans Really Want It
Rumors are beginning to circulate about Macaulay Culkin portraying the Joker in The Batman, and many fans are actually responding positively to the idea. There have not been any official reports to suggest Culkin has been cast or is even in contention for the part, but the rumor definitely has people talking. To be honest, Culkin's name probably isn't the first to come to mind for most people when fan casting the Clown Prince of Crime, but it's not all that difficult to imagine. To see what it might be like, artist Bryan Zap took to Instagram to post an image of Culkin in that distinct Joker makeup, and it shows it's really not as crazy as it may at first sound.

Of course, we all know Macaulay Culkin best for his run as a child star in the '90s. He famously appeared as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone

Seth Green Makes A Promising Filmmaking Debut With “Changeland”

It’s always nice to see an actor showcase their writing and directing chops. Moreover, when the work they turn in the first time out is unlike anything they’ve done before, that’s all the more exciting. In the case of Seth Green, his broad comedy background would lead you to assume that his first outing behind the camera would be a raunchy laugh riot. While Changeland, out this week, is a comedy, it’s far lower key and resembles something closer to Garden State than Family Guy or Robot Chicken. Green definitely has some filmmaking chops, crafting a pleasant and lightly moving picture here. The movie is a comedy about dealing with pain and finding yourself. Brandon (Green) has invited his childhood best friend Dan (Breckin Meyer) on a trip to Thailand. It’s not meant for him, however. Brandon had prepaid for this vacation as an anniversary gift to his wife.

Changeland Trailer: Macaulay Culkin & Seth Green Party in Thailand

Changeland Trailer: Macaulay Culkin & Seth Green Party in Thailand
Macauley Culkin has dusted off his bunny ears for Seth Green's upcoming Changeland. The actor is making a rare big screen appearance to support his old friend's directorial debut and seems to be promoting his Bunny Ears productions at the same time. In addition to directing the movie, Green also stars alongside Breckin Meyer, as their two characters travel to Thailand to get some perspective. Culkin's character is there and is living his life the way he wants to, which seems very appealing, and much like the actor's real life.

Seth Green and Macaulay Culkin previously starred in Party Monster together, but this is a completely different story. Changeland is about a man who discovers that his wife has been cheating on him on his first wedding anniversary. It's at this time he decides to take a planned vacation with his best, though estranged, friend played by Breckin Meyer.

Seven Films Receive Finance Through Thailand Incentives Scheme

  • Variety
Seven international films have benefited from $2.14 million (THB68 million) in cash rebates since Thailand launched a production incentive program at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.

Administered by the Thailand Film Office, the incentives provide 15% to 20% repayment of qualifying local spend.

At an event in Cannes on Friday, the Tfo said that the scheme is functioning well and that the Thai production industry is on course for a record year. In the first quarter of 2019, Thailand has already been used as a location for 28 feature films, with an aggregate local spend of more than $40 million.

“While producers are benefiting from the incentives, Thailand is also benefiting from the arrival of film and television productions. From the crews and facility companies, right through to hotels, domestic transport and the hospitality industry, the revenue earned through servicing international productions benefits many,” said Anan Wongbenjarat, deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism & Sport.
