1. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (2019– )

43 min | Documentary

Chang accompanied by a different celebrity guest exploring a single city, its culture and its cuisine. As the pair travels through each city, they will also uncover new and surprising things about themselves.

Star: David Chang

Votes: 422

TV Series: cooking / travel - season 1 Me: watched season 1, 4 episodes - just fun to watch, came off as honest, similar to comedians in cars drinking coffee but with food. Liked the host & a pot smoking Seth Rogan showing off his home town Vancouver. Abandoned the episode "Marrakech" though - didn't recognize the actress but whoever she just came off as an airhead.

Chang accompanied by a different celebrity guest exploring a single city, its culture and its cuisine. As the pair travels through each city, they will also uncover new and surprising things about themselves.

Director: Stan Lathan | Star: Dave Chappelle

standup comedy - part 2 of 'Equanimity & The Bird Revelation"

It's a small club setting making things low key and like he's there just having a conversation with us jokes about the sexual assaults dominating the 2017 entertainment news and how and why people allow themselves to be abused. It's important that people can find humour even in the darkest things, his most intimate special to date, It's real & introspective too; highlights include Louis CKs "freckled p***is"; the most compelling argument (maybe once and for all) about why Michael Jackson's allegations were unfounded due to how he showed off his place to the kids; and a complex story about a cold pimp in France in the 40s who he connects in a long and winding way as to why he quit the Chappelle Show and kept a lower profile.

3. Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones (2019 TV Special)

TV-MA | 65 min | Comedy

Dave Chappelle takes on gun culture, the opioid crisis, and the tidal wave of celebrity scandals in a defiant stand-up special filmed in Atlanta.

Director: Stan Lathan | Star: Dave Chappelle

Votes: 18,438

stand-up comedy *** rewatch for end bit after credits Me: My introduction (and probably the best) to Dave Chappelle. He's very crass, politically uncorrect and so very very funny!

Plot: Dave takes on gun culture, the opioid crisis & the tidal wave of celebrity scandals in a defiant stand-up special filmed in Atlanta.

IMDB: it was refreshing to hear someone truly saying jokes with no regard to "correctedness. Still reliably dropping some awkward truth bombs, especially on the witch-hunt of Louis CK, the LGBTQRS folks, offence archaeology, false accusations & the terribly oppressed French actor Jussie Smollet. He's made a show that will make pretty much EVERYONE feel a little uncomfortable at some point or other, and that's something we all need from time to time.

4. The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium (2017 TV Special)

TV-MA | 67 min | Comedy

Dave Chappelle gives his usual skewed insight into the topics of race, technology, OJ Simpson, and more in a stand up special filmed in Hollywood.

Director: Stan Lathan | Stars: Dave Chappelle, Morgan Freeman

Votes: 9,041

standup comedy *** rewatch Me: 1st in this 2 part 'Dave Chappelle Collection" better than part 2 - filmed in Hollywood. It has been 10 years since Chappelle has done a show in L.A. The show takes on transgender, disenfranchised politics, O.J., and most of all Bill Crosby. The O.J. stuff is probably the easiest to digest and the most fun. The Bill Crosby through-line is probably the most personal. It is the conflicted musing of a younger man about his fallen hero.

5. Deep in the Heart of Texas: Dave Chappelle Live at Austin City Limits (2017 TV Special)

TV-MA | 66 min | Comedy

Dave Chappelle gives his stand about racially charged run-ins, celebrity scandals and fatherly dilemmas in his stand-up set at Austin's Moody Theater.

Director: Stan Lathan | Stars: Dave Chappelle, Morgan Freeman

Votes: 8,519

standup comedy Me: 2nd part of 'Dave Chappelle Collection" my least favorite - filmed in Austin Texas. I liked the whole bit with the bunch of kids throwing a banana peel at him, he does remind me of Rick James.

6. The Fix (2019)

TV-14 | 60 min | Crime, Drama, Mystery

An L.A. prosecutor moves to Washington after losing a high-profile double murder case, but when the killer strikes again, she returns to seek justice under her own terms.

Stars: Robin Tunney, Adam Rayner, Merrin Dungey, Breckin Meyer

Comedy Series UK Me: watched 1st 2 episodes, slightly amusing but not enough to keep watching. Jimmy Carr's laugh super annoying. Plot: Host Jimmy Carr attempts to solve the world's biggest problems through comedy

7. Dave Chappelle: Equanimity (2017 TV Special)

TV-MA | 60 min | Comedy

Dave talks about not actually growing up in the projects, the hate he received from the transgender community, and from fake news.

Director: Stan Lathan | Stars: Dave Chappelle, Donnell Rawlings

Votes: 7,832

1st in this 2 part collection ' Equanimity & The Bird Revelation" Dave talks about not actually growing up in the projects, the hate he received from the transgender community, and from fake news. IMDB: I am slightly sick of the Trump stories, not because I like him but because it is everywhere. But Dave Chappelle is great at it. I think he can people laugh who also disagree with him. I liked Hillary but I still laughed through his jokes about election.

8. Norm Macdonald: Hitler's Dog, Gossip & Trickery (2017 TV Special)

61 min | Documentary, Comedy

In this new stand-up special, Norm Macdonald delivers sly, deadpan observations from an older -- and perhaps even wiser -- point of view.

Director: Liz Plonka | Star: Norm MacDonald

Votes: 1,937

Watched 2 x FAV Stand-up Comedy, Canadian Me: My favorite bit at the end when he describes the loyalty to anyone, even Hitler, of a dog. His spin on the 2 world wars a close second:) "There is one country that worries me - not Iraq, not Iran, not North Korea. The only country that really worries me is the country of Germany. I don't know if you guys are history buffs or not. In the early part of the previous century, Germans decided to go to war. And who did they go to war with? The world. That'd never been tried before. So you figure that would take about five seconds for the world to win, but no, it was actually close. Then about 30 years past, and Germany decides again to go to war, and again, it chooses as its enemy, the world...but you think at that point the world would go, "listen Germany, here's the deal, you don't get to be a country no more, on account of you keep attacking the world."

9. Norm Macdonald Has a Show (2018– )

30 min | Comedy, Talk-Show

Based on his podcast, comedian and former Saturday Night Live (1975) alumni Norm Macdonald and his sidekick Adam Eget sit down and chat with celebrity guests about their life, career and views in a somewhat unconventional and often irreverent way.

Stars: Norm MacDonald, Adam Eget, Michael Keaton, Drew Barrymore

Votes: 2,644

Talk Show: comedy Canadian *** Rewatching Note: officially cancelled but don't despair - you can watch it on u-tube Me: best talk show I've seen in forever! He has a great ability to set his guest's at ease. As a Netflix the content restrictions are shall we say relaxed:) I 1st watched his stand up comedy special " Norm Macdonald: Hitler's Dog, Gossip & Trickery" to get a feel for his style, it's terrific too! Episode 1 wasn't so great, they get better. My personal favorites, Drew Barrymore, Judge Judy, David Letterman, Michael Keaton, with Chevy Chase that standout. Summary: Based on his podcast, comedian and former Saturday Night Live (1975) alumni Norm Macdonald and his sidekick Adam Eget sit down and chat with celebrity guests about their life, career and views in a somewhat unconventional and often irreverent way.
