A Puerto Rican former convict, just released from prison, pledges to stay away from drugs and violence despite the pressure around him and lead on to a better life outside of N.Y.C.

One of the greatest gangster-movies, possibly the best. John Leguizamo as one of the most memorable bad guys of the 90's: Benny Blanco from the Bronx.

R | 118 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller
A lawyer defending a wealthy man begins to believe his client is guilty of more than just one crime.

One of the best thrillers in recent years, John Leguizamo doesn't have a major role in it but the rest of the cast delivers
4. Summer of Sam (1999)

A science teacher, his wife, and a young girl struggle to survive a plague that causes those infected to commit suicide.
Votes: 188,278 | Gross: $64.51M
One of the most mocked movies in recent years, but I can't help to love it. Yes ocassionally it's really bizarre, but I don't mind bizarre movies and it shows a different take on Apocalyptic movies.
8. Assault on Precinct 13 (2005)
R | 109 min | Action, Crime, Drama
A police sergeant must rally the cops and prisoners together to protect themselves on New Year's Eve, just as corrupt policeman surround the station with the intent of killing all to keep their deception in the ranks.

Stellar action-thriller with the always great Ethan Hawke. Leguizamo's part is limited.

Votes: 7,589 | Gross: $3.60M
Haven't seen it in many years, perhaps it will be too juvenile for me in my adult years but that remains to be seen... The memory I have of it is that I loved it... Dumb and Dumber meets Surviving The Game
10. Body Count (1998)
R | 85 min | Crime, Drama, Thriller
It was supposed to be an easy job for the 5 guys to rob an art museum of $15 million in paintings, but it comes with a body count that continues on the way to Miami to sell.
One of my favorite movies in the VHS days... Managed to rewatch it a couple months ago, I did see some flaws I was blind to back then but still very entertaining
11. Sueño (2005)
PG-13 | 108 min | Comedy, Drama, Music
A Mexican immigrant new to Los Angeles enters into a love triangle with two very different women.
A latino indie feel good drama. Perhaps a little simple story but John Leguizamo is great in a very different role as a daydreamer, also with a great Elizabeth Pena in another lead
12. The Honeymooners (2005)
PG-13 | 90 min | Comedy, Drama, Family
Working class New York bus driver Ralph Kramden is always coming up with get-rich-quick schemes for him and his best friend, Ed Norton, who's always around to help him get in (and out of) trouble.
Votes: 6,834 | Gross: $12.83M
Not particulary smart, but then again it's a comedy, and ocassionally very funny (particulary the scenes where John Leguizamo is in as the dog-trainer/hustler)... Not a great movie but a entertaining one if you like Epps and Cedric, which I do
13. Hangin' with the Homeboys (1991)
R | 88 min | Comedy, Drama
Two African-Americans and two Puerto-Ricans (though one pretends to be Italian) go out on the town on a Friday night. They will be forced to get to know each other, and even worst, learn to... See full summary »

Shakespeare's famous play is updated to the hip modern suburb of Verona still retaining its original dialogue.

15. The Kill Point (2007)
TV-MA | Action, Crime, Drama

R | 95 min | Action, Sci-Fi, Thriller
In a future mind-controlling game, death row convicts are forced to battle in a 'Doom'-type environment. Convict Kable, controlled by Simon, a skilled teenage gamer, must survive thirty sessions in order to be set free.

Smaller role for John in this flawed but entertaining action-sci-fi flick

A doctor discovers that he can communicate with animals.
Votes: 87,061 | Gross: $144.16M
I found it amusing when I saw it which was some odd years ago, John isn't actually "in" it but he voices as rat with no name
18. Undefeated (2003 TV Movie)
92 min | Drama, Sport
A boxer must navigate a path between his newfound fame and his former life.
Although it's about a boxer it's more of a character-study movie than a boxing-movie... Somewhat flawed but still a good watch if you're a fan of John
19. The Take (2007)
R | 96 min | Action, Crime, Drama
After he's shot during a heist in East L.A., an armored truck driver wrestles with rehabilitation and tracking down the man who committed the crime.

A groom (Ed Burns) and his four attendants wrestle with issues related to friendship and maturity a week before the big day.

The population of Detroit has almost completely disappeared, but a few remain. As daylight disappears they realize that the Dark is coming for them.

Security guard Ben must prove himself to his girlfriend's brother, top police officer James. He rides along James on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta.
Votes: 96,168 | Gross: $134.94M
It was too generic, and Ice Cube as the "straight guy" just didn't work for me... I'd much rather rewatch ALL ABOUT THE BENJAMINS with Cube or SOUL PLANE with Kevin Hart... Leguizamo in a smaller part...
28. One for the Money (2012)

In 1961, famed social psychologist Stanley Milgram conducted a series of radical behavior experiments that tested ordinary humans' willingness to obey authority.
Votes: 16,364 | Gross: $0.16M
It's feels very often like a teacher holding a class than a movie, alot to do with the fact that Saarsgard's character explain thesises and thoughts directly to the camera
John is in it for one scene and play one of many people involved in a social experiment
31. The Babysitters (2007)
R | 88 min | Drama
A teenager turns her babysitting service into a call-girl service for married guys after fooling around with one of her customers.

A suspense thriller about a reporter from Miami who travels to Ecuador in pursuit of a serial killer known as the "Monster of Babahoyo."
Votes: 3,207 | Gross: $0.30M
Spanish speaking movie that bored me for the more-part of the movie, a big problem is that all of the characters are very dislikable but I guess that's the point. But yeah in the end that is what made me lose interest.

I actually really like Martin Lawrence but the tone of this movie is so annoying, it reminds me of Teletubbies on Ecstacy, I really didn't enjoy this one... And to Leguizamo-fans don't bother, he was only in it for a couple scenes

I don't remember John Leguizamo in this movie. I remember thinking it was the most boring revenge movie I've ever seen tho.
36. Fugly! (2014)
Not Rated | 100 min | Comedy
A Latino comic's near-death experience forces him to revisit his personal and professional highs and lows.
A very undramatic and unfunny drama-comedy with zero chemistry between John Leguizamo and the biggest female lead of the movie Radha Mitchell.
