It just wasn't good. If the movie was written from the girls' POV, maybe I would have liked it a bit more. But because the girls did not narrate the story at all, the ending felt unfinished and empty.

OVERRATED. The plot and chemistry between the 2 main characters were both terribly rushed, novice, and underdeveloped.

I know people LOVE this film, but I thought it was pretty predictable, long, and kind of boring.

Director: Morten Tyldum | Stars: Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne

Votes: 313,741 | Gross: $100.01M

Not only was the plot way too predictable, but I saw a Youtube video explaining that if the movie was directed from the girl's (Aurora) POV, Jim would've make a pretty creepy protagonist -- never saw the movie the same way again.

Some of the scenes were pretty cool, but overall the film lacks maturity and legitimacy. Also, the chemistry between the 2 main characters was AWKWARD.

The movie is a little strange and the cat is definitely creepy. I also didn't expect the movie that is based off of a kid's book to have humor that's meant for grown ups... weird mix.

Votes: 361,597 | Gross: $155.44M

** SPOILER: the movie was mediocre all throughout, but the worst part, in my opinion, was the ending. I felt like the ending/"final battle" was placed entirely on Jean (Sophie Turner's character) who wasn't really emphasized throughout the whole movie. Endings like that make it seem like the writers went: "fuck it, I just want to wrap this up". **
