Films and series set in a period of far-reaching social and political upheaval, partially carried forward by Napoleon I. He set out to expand France's territory.
I'll also be including certain films/series set in Romantic era Europe.
Extra info: Romanticism: The early period of the Romantic Era was a time of war, with the French Revolution (1789–1799) followed by the Napoleonic Wars until 1815. These wars, along with the political and social turmoil that went along with them, served as the background for Romanticism.
Peninsular War (1897-1814): military conflict between Napoleon's empire and the allied powers of Spain, Britain and Portugal for control of the Iberian Peninsula during the Napoleonic Wars. ***wikipedia
