High School - Teen - Coming of Age - moviesby vicjenj | created - 19 Aug 2017 | updated - 1 month ago | Public
We were all young once. I have always loved movies and I loved the young coming of age type movies then, and although I am a little more critical of them now I still love them. Some of the movies aren't youth but they have a good message that when I was young they had value. For example "Trading Places" taught me that if you change your environment it could make a difference. The way a youth could change their environment was to quit hanging out with losers, etc. Also some of my favorite movie characters are in these teen movies. In my opinion James Spader easily established himself as one of the best villains in movie history. Established: 8/19/17 Victor J.

This is one of my favorite coming of age movies. When I reflect to my high school days I can recall so many of my friends in this movie. It also has four of my favorite teen movie characters.
1. Patrick Verona - (Health Ledger) 2. Cameron James - (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) 3. Katarina Stratford - (Julia Stiles) 4. Michael Eckman - (David Krumholtz)
One of my favorite movie lines was:
Patrick (Heath Ledger): "Well, she is or she isn't. See first of all, Joey is not half the man you are. Secondly, don't let anyone ever make you feel like you don't deserve what you want. Go for it."
