I'm so sick of "politically correct" TV shows that totally distort realism. CBS-TVs new series is just the latest example. It was only on for 10 minutes when I started wanting to regurgitate as the team, with series star David Boreanaz held a mission briefing. It was more like a cutesy episode of Happy Days than a mission briefing. The presumed SEAL team officer delivering the briefing was a woman (first MAJOR blunder) and among the few, presumed, SEALs was another woman (second MAJOR blunder). It's NOT sexism but fact. Up to the present NO WOMAN, not even Demi Moore, has been accepted for BUDS (SEAL team) training. Obviously none have ever passed. In fact, the first woman EVER to graduate as a combat infantry officer only completed such training this month from the U.S. Marine Corps program.

Over the years I've become nauseated on numerous occasions by the incompetence of screen writers in presenting fact-based stories in movies and on television. But, to me, this marks a new low in production values.

Why not just equip characters with deadly ray guns that never miss their targets and are lethal at interstellar distances? Why not have police on crime shows that never make an error or injure an innocent party and always, conveniently, get their perpetrator within the time confines of a production? The answer is simple: Any child older than eight would realize that the show was simply a glorified comic book and cease watching such patronizing pablum. After all, only small children consume baby cereal.
