Sarah Adina Smith's "Buster's Mal Heart" has a peculiar title and an even more peculiar plot. The main character works a dead-end job. After meeting a conspiracy theorist, he becomes a mountain man...or is he a castaway? Or both? Whatever the case, no one can stop the inversion.
This movie certainly won't be for everyone. It's one of the most complicated movies that I've ever seen. One might interpret the protagonist as less an individual person than the personification of disillusionment with the status quo. Or one might have no idea how to interpret it. It's worth seeing, but just realize that it's got to be one of the strangest movies ever made.
