Storyline

Children collecting fireflies in the Glades stumble onto the corpse of US Navy recruiter Doug Preston, who was dumped there. Jim is more surprised when his team is given a 'forensic nurse,' to Carlos's delight none other then his lover Callie, which proves uneasy for both of them, especially as she's still jealous of the Chicago ex. Suspects include Frank Morgan, whose son volunteered and died in Afghanistan, and Doug's ex, an alcoholic who keeps secrets about everything, including boyfriend Bradley, and Doug's baby son, who went missing very recently. Trivia

Baby Cody was actually played by two sets of twin boys. The boat slips and bar scene were filmed at Dockers Restaurant & Marina in Dania Beach, Florida. The boat's name ("My Escape") was applied by the show's scenic department. The crime scene/search and rescue area was actually various areas of Flamingo Gardens, a south Florida plant and nursery that's been around since the 1930s. The fireflies used in the scene where the girls were outside trying to capture the insects in jars, were added during post-production using a CGI (computer graphic imaging) method. See more »
