Trivia

Goofs

When Light threatens to write Ryuk's name in the notebook, Ryuk says that no one has written past the second letter in his name. Prior to this conversation Light read a note that said "Do not trust Ryuk, he is not your friend or pet" meaning Light should have known it wouldn't work on him and that someone had gotten past writing Ryuk's name.

Correction - What we saw written was a warning not a notice of death, a Death Note of you will, so maybe there's different rules for that (there is a lot of rules after all) Plus who says Ryuk is his real name. See more »

Quotes

Light Turner: It's like you said, sometimes you gotta choose the lesser of the two evils.
James Turner: So which one are you, son?

Absolute garbage and typical Hollywood adaptation
25 August 2017 | by (Norway) – See all my reviews

First time ever writing a review here. Had to do it now because I don't want people like me who enjoyed the original anime/manga to waste their time on this movie.

Firstly i didn't know this was a movie until it was released on Netflix. I'm not going into detail, but there is a reason its a long manga/anime and not a movie.

Anyway, the protagonist isn't interesting, L is not interesting and the plot is garbage. They took all the good thing from the original and butchered it and made another bad American adaptation.

Everyone involved in this movie should be ashamed.

Save yourself the misery and never watch this.
