Quotes

[first lines]
Jack Reid: [on the phone] Tell the Mayor, I'm insulted. I would never jeopardize the journalistic integrity of this newspaper for some rent-a-mayor's political agenda.
Jack Reid: [to his son] So Britt, here we are again. Sent home after another schoolyard fight. I know you miss your mother. So do I. But I have to take care of 750 employees, and you have to take care of yourself. Still that seems to be asking too much.
Young Britt: But I was trying to stop some bullies...

It was good.
19 April 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

My friends watched the movie and didn't really like it. So I never watched it, until just now. I was entertained. I don't know, the movie had some pretty good action, but what carries the movie is... well... I don't exactly know how to describe it. It was good. I typically despise Seth Roegan, however you spell his name, but I actually liked this movie. For everyone who sees this movie and find ample opportunity to tear it apart and dig at the details of the movie as if the movie was intended to be the next Batman Begins type superhero movie. Its very much different than a lot of superhero movies because it is an action comedy. My friends tore down the villains character, which, I thought the villain was actually interesting. A bad guy who is psychotic, but people don't see him as scary, and he struggles to find an identity that is scary. When really the part of him that is scary is quite subtle. I kind of liked that about his character. The story is not very strong, but it wasn't intended to be - that is the plot involving the bad guys and what not. But, the character development and relationship between the two heroes was good. I don't know why people are the way they are... but this movie was actually good. Maybe I liked it more than others because my expectations were dropped from what I heard from my friends, and now I completely disagree with them.

Whatever.... watch it, if you don't like it as much as me, you might actually come out somewhat entertained and not at a complete waste of time.
