The character König Bussi von Bayern is a direct reference to King Ludwig II. of Bavaria, known as the fairytale king, who built the Castle Neuschwanstein, which was spoofed in this movie as Schloss Neuzahnstein (Castle New Dental Calculus) and was engaged to Sophie of Bavaria, the sister of Queen Elisabeth of Austria (known as Sissi).
