one of the best German movies ever
15 September 2004 | by (France) – See all my reviews

This is definitive the funniest movie, which was made in Germany anyway. It has a great mixture of a funny story; excellent interacting between the main actors and you get look on the main problem of young Germans from the middle-class, growing up in a small town like Würzburg. Their main problem is that they do not have any real problems, and so they are creating them on their own. Another comment criticizes i.e. the first few minutes of the movie, where the main actors talk about the breasts of some Baywatch girls. He or she did not understand that in millions of small towns guys talking about things like that, because there is nothing else to talk about. But not the topic of the dialogue is important, the atmosphere is. The director did not fear to give some freedom to the actors, so they can develop the conversation on their own. All in all a great movie.
