• Abfolgefehler: While attorney Weems is questioning Annie, the dollar on the ledge changes position.
  
  
• Audio-Visuelle Asynchronität: When Buddy Cole has his father tied up and he's going nuts outside their house, there is a part where he slightly turns away (toward the siding of the white house.) That part of his "speech" is voiced over because he's talking, but his lips are not moving.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: When meeting Wayne to talk about her son, Annie is wearing blue and white stripes. Later that day she stops by the auto shop to have Buddy look at her broken car door and is wearing pink. Later still that day, she's back to the blue and white.
  
  

• Abfolgefehler: When Annie's friend stops her outside church to inform her of Jessica's disappearance, Annie pauses to put her sweater on. In the next shot, she has the sweater in her hand, and when she gets into her car in the shot after that, she is wearing it again.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: Annie is bleeding on the dock from her head, and in a close up the blood runs down her cheek into the corner of her mouth. In the shots following, however, all the traces of blood disappear from her cheek and mouth, and move to the side of her face.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: At the end, Annie is holding a cloth over her eyebrow and she is bleeding. When she comes back to see her children, her eyebrow is perfectly fine, she is not even wearing a bandage.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: Buddy Cole throws gasoline over his father's entire body, but only his legs burn.

• Abfolgefehler: When Jessica takes her father's hand at the country club party, the dress strap on her right arm is further down the arm in one shot, then up on her shoulder in the next.

• Abfolgefehler: When we first meet Donnie at the door he is not wearing a hat, but when he is inside with the voodoo doll he is behatted.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: Annie picks up the photo album from her son's bed and carries it with her as she leaves, but once she is outside of the room, she no longer has it.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: When Annie get home from the grocery store, her car door is broken and won't close all the way. After she takes the groceries out of the trunk, the car door is now closed all the way.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: When Annie gives a reading for Kenneth King (Jessica's father) her watch is on the table as usual. In one shot the watch is on his arm but soon after is back on the table.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: When Annie gives a reading for Valerie Barksdale her watch is on the table as usual. But as she collects the cards, her watch is on her wrist.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: When Wayne actually takes the swing at Annie's head with the flashlight, Annie's head reacts too early to the blow, so the scene is re-shot and the 'impact ' is now much closer the second time, but there is an obvious edit.
  
  

• Abfolgefehler: SPOILER: When Jessica is found, her right eye is closed because Donnie hit it before he brought her back to her car. When Wayne turns up and kills her, there is nothing wrong with her face.
  
  
• Abfolgefehler: SPOILER: When Wayne hits Annie with the flashlight, blood runs from forehead to eye to lip. One shot later the blood is on Annie's cheek two inches from her mouth.
