Sex & Nudity

There are some sexual references. Implied that one man is attracted to his sister and propositions her, requesting that she provide him with an heir of pure blood.

There's a reference to the rape of a man's wife.

Violence & Gore

Frequent and strong throughout. There is a graphic battle at the beginning as well as blood-spurting arena battles.

A woman and her child are tortured and crucified (shown briefly and described again later).

Characters are beheaded in combat but graphic details are not dwelled upon.

Character is cut in half by blades on a chariot's wheel, some blood.

Many characters are stabbed with swords, knives and spears with blood.

Some accentuated blood splatter for cinematic effect.

There are many intense, violent gladiatorial fights throughout including a large-scale battle that opens the movie.
