Storyline

Taking a romantic tropical island week off with her boyfriend, an ambitious, decisive New York girl agrees to help her magazine out by covering a story on a neighboring island. The only plane available is piloted by a laid-back heavy drinker with whom she shares a mutual dislike. But she has no choice and he can't refuse the money. When the plane crash-lands on an uninhabited island with little chance of rescue they both wish they had made other arrangements - at least to start with. Written by Jeremy Perkins <jwp@aber.ac.uk>

Trivia

Harrison Ford personally picked out Anne Heche to be his co-star over much greater stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Julia Roberts, Meg Ryan and Uma Thurman. Had Ryan been chosen, this would have been the second time she would have played a character involved with a pilot. The first was Top Gun (1986). See more »

Robin Monroe: So what's the deal with you and... uhm...
[Robin draws breasts in the air]
Quinn Harris: Angelica.
Robin Monroe: Yeah.
Quinn Harris: No deal. We're friends. She works at the hotel couple of months a year, we have some laughs... keep it simple.
Robin Monroe: Well, has it always been... simple, or has there ever been anyone complicated?
[Quinn gives Robin a nasty look]
Robin Monroe: That's a yes. Yes? How complicated? Scale from one to ten.
Quinn Harris: Twelve.

Great! Never gets boring!
11 October 1999 | by See all my reviews

I loved this movie, because it had a little bit of everything in it. It had action, romance, drama, and suspense. I love watching it over and over again. Harrison Ford and Anne Heche work great together! I enjoyed watching Harrison Ford in this movie, he's a great actor, as well as Anne.
