Whilst crossing a ledge, 4000 feet above the earth, Gabe's friend's equipment fails to work and she slips out of his hand, falling to the ground. Almost a year later, Gabe is asked to go back to the same mountain range and rescue a group of 'stranded' people. The only catch is that these so called 'stranded' people are in fact looking for three boxes filled with $100,000,000 and they need a mountain ranger to lead them to them!! Written by

The Denver Mint, featured in the film as the producer of the cash stolen by Qualen and his associates, actually only produces coins. 100 million dollars from the Denver Mint would weigh 2,500 tons. See more »
(at around 1h 35 mins) When Gabe falls into the water he performs a variety of moves including removing his shirts and taunting Travers. After he emerges with help from Hal, Gabe is fine and the movie goes on. This could not happen. The temperature of the water should have put him into shock and stiffened all his limbs shortly after he fell in. Not to mention, even if Hal were to take him out, Gabe's core body temperature would have dropped to the point of a hypothermia scare. See more »
Sly's best out and out action film. It is a superbly enjoyable movie with some interesting characters, solid performances and Renny Harlins direction is stylishly assured. Stallone is rarely this interesting in his action films and he certainly looks the part in terms of the action scenes. This was one of the best action films of the year and one of the most thrilling and enjoyable of the 90's, a definite genre classic. As a Stallone fan this is one I look back on with fond memories. Plenty of superb action and Sly in prime action man form. Action lovers appreciate this film because it has all the hallmarks that make a good aciton film. The film looks great and there is great support from Janine Turner, Michael Rooker and John Lithgow. ****
