The first time I saw this film it was on TV and about 3 a.m. Though it was late, it caught my attention and it became one of my favourite films with one of my favourite actors, Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects, Miller's Crossing). The film is basically Hamlet's real life, in his real time. You will not be attending a Shakespearian lecture or a Scandinavian History lesson, although you could get a bit of knowledge of the two. You will be watching and enjoying a very good film that without using any special effects tells a story that happens to be real; and it does it with a very good srcipt, good acting, perfect set up... If there is something wrong in this film I have not noticed it. It is deffinately worth watching it
