Thurman Stalker Found Guilty

Obsessed Uma Thurman fan Jack Jordan has been found guilty of stalking and harassing the Hollywood star. The jury at New York's Manhattan Supreme Court delivered its verdict shortly before midday on Tuesday. Jordan, 37, was found guilty of fourth-degree stalking and one count of second degree aggravated harassment. He was acquitted on two other aggravated harassment charges - but could still face jail time. Stalking can carry a 90-day sentence, and aggravated harassment can lead to 12 months behind bars, reports Tmz.com. Thurman, her mother and father testified at the week-long trial - during which it was revealed Jordan bombarded the trio with notes and letters, and threatened to kill himself if her parents refused to pass on messages. He was arrested outside Thurman's New York home in 2005 after attempting to force his way into her movie trailer, while she was shooting My Super Ex-Girlfriend.

Batman fans have cleaned out New York toy stores' entire supply of Heath Ledger's Joker action figure, within minutes of them going on sale. Devotees of the comic book series lined up early to clear shelves of the $9.99 toy, which shows Ledger in his final completed role before his premature death in January from an accidental drug overdose, aged just 29. An employee of Times Square's Toys R Us store says, "There are none left in the warehouse. You will be waiting a while if you want one." Some fans are believed to be buying up stock, convinced the figure is a collector's item - others are selling them on auction site eBay for up to $55 each. Pitt Blasts "Bad Neighbors" Tag
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have hit back at claims their Hollywood neighbors are sick of the tabloid attention they have brought to their exclusive gated community. Other residents of Los Angeles' exclusive Franklin Village are reported to be "outraged" by the photographers who now swarm around the area, desperate for a glimpse of the couple and their four children. Website Animalnewyork.com claims a number of homeowners are rallying to try and force the Pitt-Jolie family out of the neighborhood. But Pitt doesn't believe the reports - insisting he gets on well with his neighbors. He tells the New York Post, "This is the first I've heard of this, which tells me it's mostly not true. I have lived and worked in the same location off and on since 1995 and have never had any problems with my neighbors, only paparazzi and those who peddle in sensationalism."

Spears Wins Small Battle In Custody Hearing
Britney Spears has won a boost in her child custody battle following a hearing in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. Sealed documents were reviewed in a closed court session, and though the existing custodial arrangement remains in place between the singer and her ex-husband Kevin Federline, both parties insist there has been progress. Spears' custody rights were suspended in January after police and emergency services were called to the singer's home after she refused to hand over one of her sons to a Federline bodyguard following a visitation period. Ever since then Spears has been fighting to regain visitation. The arrangement was modified a month ago when Federline agreed his troubled ex could spend time with their sons again as long as the visits were properly supervised. And speaking outside court after Tuesday's hearing, Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan called the court meeting "a step going forward" for both his client and Spears. He said, "The order that was in place has remained in place but there has been a graduated expansion of time." Kaplan was complimentary about Spears' progress following her commitment to a psychiatric ward in February, and credited her father Jamie, who has been given full control of his daughter's personal affairs, for adding stability to her life. Federline's attorney said, "What was a seemingly daily situation in extreme flux has been stabilized."

The pair was snapped embracing on a Miami, Florida beach last week, prompting speculation they are an item. Mayer had refused to speak out about the rumors until Monday night - when he almost revealed all to reporters at New York's Costume Institute Gala. The 30-year-old said of the tabloid claims, "You know what I did? I looked at it (the reports) and I said, 'That's about right.' What am I going to say, 'That's not me?'" And the former beau of fellow beauties Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love-Hewitt has no problem being caught by crafty photographers: "Listen, this is not a scandal, this is not an issue, this is not a problem, this needs no spin control. This is me living my life and a guy with a really powerful lens and I don't fault him. There are much worse problems in the world. Everything's cool!"
