Bullock & Husband Unhurt After Drunk Driver Crash

Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James escaped serious injury after their car was hit by a suspected drunk driver on Friday night. The couple was being driven home in a private vehicle in Gloucester, Massachusetts, at around 9.50pm when they were struck head on by a gray Subaru station wagon. The Subaru is reported to have switched lanes and smashed into the front of Bullock's car. No injuries were reported. Police attending the scene identified the Subaru driver as Lucille P. Gatchell, from Gloucester, who was arrested after failing a sobriety test. Gatchell allegedly had two and a half times the legal alcohol limit in her system. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to stay in marked lanes. The 64-year-old was released and is expected to face arraignment on Tuesday. Gloucester Police Lieutenant Gerry Cook insists Bullock and her husband were lucky to escape unscathed. He tells People.com, "They were shaken up, needless to say. But they were fine - he was hugging her. Jess and Sandra were hugging. They said they were fine, they didn't need medical attention. There were quite a few people snapping pictures of them. It's unfortunate. But it shows you that no one is immune from drunk drivers, no matter how famous you are." Bullock is in the area filming romantic comedy The Proposal with Ryan Reynolds.
Bond's Aston Martin In Lake Plunge Accident

The limited edition Aston Martin sports car Daniel Craig drove in Casino Royale had to be fished out of Italy's Lake Garda on Saturday after an onset accident during filming of the latest 007 film. Reports suggest a driver delivering the one-of-a-kind vehicle to the Italian set of Quantum Of Solace skidded off a narrow road in torrential rain, and plunged the car into the water. The driver swam to safety and was hospitalized with minor injuries. The film crew acted quickly to pull the waterlogged car out of the lake, using a crane. As WENN went to press, it was not known how badly the car was damaged - or if the vehicle will be used in the new Bond film, as planned.
Spears To Return To TV Show
Britney Spears is to return to the TV sitcom which gave her a career boost last month. The pop star gave show How I Met Your Mother its highest ratings ever when she appeared as a love-struck secretary in an episode on March 24, and now she had agreed to reprise her character, according to reports. A source says, "The show is ecstatic and so is Britney. She had so much fun the first time around she really wanted to come back. It was a mutual decision to work together more." The one-episode deal comes just days after Spears' former manager Larry Rudolph admitted the singer loved appearing on the show and talked constantly about it during recent meetings with him. He said, "It was a really positive experience for her. She talked about it quite a bit the last time I saw her... She wants to do it again." Earlier this month, show executive producer Carter Bays admitted he'd be delighted to have Spears back on the show: "I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode."
Beckham Denies Holmes Rift

Former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham has denied she has fallen out with pal Katie Holmes, despite reports to the contrary. The pair has been close friends since Beckham moved to Los Angeles last year - but rumors the pals have drifted apart came to a head last week when the Mad Money star failed to show at the singer's recent 34th birthday celebrations. And internet reports suggest Holmes snubbed Beckham at a recent restaurant encounter. No reason for the fall-out has been given, and now a representative for Beckham has dismissed the speculation, claiming Beckham and her husband David, are still good friends with Holmes and her partner Tom Cruise. Beckham's spokesman says, "They all had a drink together, and Tom and Katie and David and Victoria were all out for dinner together last Friday."
Carey Upsets Fans At Signing
Mariah Carey fans booed the pop superstar at an autograph signing on Thursday when she showed up two hours late and left before signing albums for devotees who had waited eight hours to meet her. The singer, who was promoting her new album E=MC2 at Universal City Walk in Los Angeles, left tired fans fuming when she stopped signing and "went Home." Carey fans, who waited in line to meet their heroine, have flooded the Internet to slam the diva, claiming she showed up two hours late and didn't stay around long enough to meet and greet the 1,000 devotees who were promised time with the singer. One angry fan says, "The first 1,000 people who bought her album from (record store) FYE got a guaranteed meet and greet (wristband), but she left with more than a hundred people still waiting. Some fans booed and others even trashed their copies of Mariah's new CD and yelled profanities at her."
Grint Dislikes "Bragging" Lohan
Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix star Rupert Grint has ruled out moving to Los Angeles to boost his movie career - in fear of meeting party girls Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. The 19-year-old actor isn't keen on moving to Hollywood after a fraught meeting with the Mean Girls star left him disappointed by her egotistical boasts. And the British star has no intention to hook up with Lohan's former party pal Paris Hilton either. He says, "I met Lindsay last summer and she talked about herself a lot. She said she was going to win an Oscar before she turns 25. I just kept thinking, 'But you can't act'. I haven't met Paris and don't want to either. She and Lindsay are the type of girls you need to stay away from."
Neal And Beach Leaving 'Law & Order: SVU'

Longtime Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Diane Neal is to leave the force when her contract on the U.S. cop drama ends later this year. Neal, who plays Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak, has been a regular fixture on the TV program since she joined in 2003, replacing Stephanie March. But the star is now exiting at the end of the current series, with her final appearance to air in the season finale, which will be shown next month. A representative for the show tells Tvguide.com, "Diane spent five years on SVU and was a tremendous addition to the SVU team. She is looking forward to new opportunities and she will be missed." The program's creator Dick Wolf is reportedly looking for an up-and-coming actor to fill Neal's high profile role in the show. Also, Neal's co-star Adam Beach is leaving the hit TV show as well. The actor - who plays Detective Chester Lake in the show - decided not to exercise the second-year option on his contract. He says, "I very much enjoyed my year on (the show). Now I'm looking forward to new adventures."
Hasselhoff To Pay Ex-Wife $25,000 A Month
David Hasselhoff has finally agreed on a divorce settlement with ex-wife Pamela Bach - he will pay $25,000-a-month to support her and their two children. The former Baywatch star has signed an agreement calling him to pay out $21,000-a-month to ex-wife Pamela Bach and another $4,000 to support their daughters, 17-year-old Taylor and 15-year-old Hayley. The settlement comes after a bitter battle through the courts since the former couple divorced in 2006 after 16 years of marriage. Hasselhoff and Bach have been granted joint custody of the children, as well as agreeing joint ownership on their San Fernando Valley, California home. The family's cars, bank accounts and Hasselhoff's pensions from acting and directing guilds will be divided equally.
Simpson's Dad Denies $1 Million Pregnancy Package
Ashlee Simpson's manager/father has hit back at reports he's trying to sell his daughter's big pregnancy reveal and baby pictures to U.S. tabloids. Insiders claim Joe Simpson wants $1 million for the package, in which pop star Ashlee will finally confirm she is expecting fiance Pete Wentz's child - but he insists the story is ridiculous. In a statement through his publicist, Joe Simpson says, "This is completely not true." A representative for the minister-turned-pop mogul adds, "What's next? Joe will DJ the wedding and bake the cake?" Wentz has denied reports his partner is expecting the couple's first child and Simpson insisted all pregnancy questions were "inappropriate" when she was quizzed about her health on TV in America earlier this week.
Diddy Back With Ex?

Rap boss Sean 'Diddy' Combs sparked reports he and his ex-girlfriend Kim Porter have reunited again after meeting her for a romantic lunch date in Los Angeles on Friday. Diddy and Porter were spotted enjoying an intimate meal at Italian restaurant Trilussa in Beverly Hills. The on-off couple split last summer, just months after Porter gave birth to the couple's twin girls, D'Lila Star andJessie James. Diddy and Porter already had a son, Christian, together from a previous romance. Their cosy lunch on Friday comes seven months after Porter told Essence magazine she packed up her belongings and took cars, furniture and the couple's children one weekend when Diddy was out of town. She told the magazine, "I wanted to be dramatic. I wanted him to know I wasn't breaking up with him for two weeks - or maybe leaving for two days. If I pack up everything - twins and all - it means I'm out!" Porter admitted reports linking Diddy to another woman was "definitely part" of the reason she split.
