Aniston Denies Cooper Romance

Jennifer Aniston has laughed off reports she is dating newly-divorced actor Bradley Cooper. Aniston was linked to Cooper after America's Star magazine reported the former Friends actress had invited the Wedding Crashers star to her house for a romantic meal. The actors are set to co-star in the upcoming romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You alongside Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connolly and Scarlett Johansson. Despite reports of an intimate dinner, Aniston's spokesman Stephen Huvane says Cooper was just one of many dinner guests that evening. He says, "It was not a romantic dinner and they were not alone."

Moynahan Baby Will Take Her Name

Bridget Moynahan's newborn baby boy will take her surname, instead of his father, American football star Tom Brady. The former Sex And The City actress, 36, gave birth to John Edward Thomas Moynahan in Los Angeles on August 22. Moynahan found out she was pregnant just weeks after splitting with New England Patriots player Brady after a four year relationship. Weeks later, Brady went public with new love Gisele Bundchen. Despite their split, Brady dashed from America's east coast to Los Angeles for the birth last week. Moynahan's representative Christina Papadopoulos said the baby will take his mother's family name. Papadopoulos says, "She is thankful for a healthy baby and is excited about being a mother." The actress' spokesman tells the New York Daily News, "Bridget and Tom are on speaking terms and have the best interests of the child at heart."

Wilson's Ex Stunned by Suicide Bid

Owen Wilson's ex-girlfriend is still struggling to come to terms with the fact the movie star tried to take his own life. Australian fashion designer Stephanie Conley briefly dated the You, Me And Dupree star in 2005, and insists she's still close to Wilson. She admits she was stunned when she heard the news her ex had been hospitalised in Los Angeles after attempting suicide at his home in Santa Monica, California on Sunday. Speaking to the Sydney Daily Telegraph, Conley says, "I am terribly upset about the situation. I was totally shocked to hear about it and I'm still struggling to understand what went wrong." She reveals she had holidayed with Wilson in Europe just a month ago and found the actor to be in very high spirits. She adds, "He was having such an amazing time. Obviously something has gone very wrong in his personal life since then but he was so happy - I just don't understand." Since splitting from Wilson, Conley has dated Naomi Watts' brother Ben.

Cruise Wins Extortion Case

The man who demanded $1 million from Tom Cruise over stolen wedding photographs has pleaded guilty to transmitting threatening communications with the intent to extort. David Hans Schmidt was arrested in July after approaching Cruise's aides and asking for $1 million in return for photos he'd acquired from the movie star's 2006 wedding to Katie Holmes. In court papers, Cruise's lawyers report Schmidt, who has been dubbed the 'Sultan Of Sleaze' for peddling sex tapes of Paris Hilton and Colin Farrell, told the actor's representatives that "it would not look good for anyone if the photographs become public." But now Schmidt has agreed to enter a plea agreement in a bid to keep jail time to a minimum. When sentenced, he faces up to two years in prison, one year of supervised release and a substantial monetary fine.

Knightley: "Flashing Starlets Have No Class"

Keira Knightley has hit out at Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan for being caught without underwear - insisting she has too much class to follow in their footsteps. The Atonement actress is appalled by celebrities who expose themselves to photographers, and claims their actions make them "s**ttier than everybody else." Speaking at the Venice Film Festival, Knightley says, "I'm not going to get blind drunk and then stumble out and fall over an puke up in front of people. I'm not saying I don't do that in private, but I try not to. The whole celebrity thing is not magic. They're real people proving they're s**ttier than everybody else because they don't even wear knickers."

Tarantino Turns Down 'Hawaii Five-O' Remake

Quentin Tarantino was horrified when studio bosses suggested he directs the big-screen version of cult '70s show Hawaii Five-O - he hates the series. Warner Bros. Pictures are currently developing a movie version of the Jack Lord-starring TV show, which ended in 1980 after 12 years. He says, "My producing partner at the time Lawrence Bender was hanging out with some dude from Fox or Warners or whatever, and they said I should stop working on what I was doing, because I'd be so into this. I tried to watch the old TV show, but it sucks. I don't even like Hawaii."

Gunshots at Benigni Recital

Oscar winner Roberto Benigni was left ducking for cover at a recital in Cosenza, Italy on Tuesday night when a man shot a security guard who refused him entry to the event. Benigni was reading a poem by 13th century Italian poet Dante when the shots rang out. The unnamed gunman, who did not have a ticket to the recital, fired off six shots, five of which hit the security guard in the leg. The guard is expected to recover from the incident, but is expected to remain hospitalized for at least 40 days. Benigni's performance was not affected by the incident.

Bowie Set for 'Doctor Who'

Rock legend David Bowie is set to star in the next series of British TV series Doctor Who, playing an alien. Producers of the BBC show have targeted the singer because of his "great other-worldly looks" according to reports. British newspaper The Sun claims the 60-year-old will clash with actor David Tennant's Doctor in a two-part episode of the show, which will be aired next year. A source tells the newspaper, "Bowie said he'd be interested as long as he's not subjected to hours of disfiguring make-up."

Khan Awaits Hearing

Bollywood bad boy Salman Khan will plead with an Indian judge to release him from jail during a hearing on Thursday. The actor has been jailed for five years for killing an endangered species while shooting a film in India's Rajasthan state in 1998. Earlier this week a judge rejected a bail plea and ordered the request to be heard by another judge. On Thursday, the Rajasthan High Court will decide whether or not to release Khan on bail pending an appeal against his sentence.
