Stallone To Invent A Third Hero Says Fortune-Telling Mom

Sylvester Stallone is poised to create another action hero as profitable as Rocky and Rambo - because his mother has seen it in the stars. Sly always turns to his mother Jackie to find out what lies ahead for him in the future - and Jackie has instructed him to start thinking about a third action hero because it is bound for success. She says, "I said to him he was going to have another run bigger and better than Rocky, because he's going to come up with another identity. I told him `you came up with Rocky and Rambo, you came up with these identities no-one else did. You wrote the script - you created the identity and made the person, you gave them life.' Now he will create another third person - probably in the detective or western field."

Scorsese Wants Hugh Grant For Dean Martin Movie

Taxi Driver (1976) director Martin Scorsese refuses to start filming his new movie until he's got his dream cast. The Hollywood legend is making a film about crooner Dean Martin called Dino (2001), but Scorsese has a list of top stars he wants in the film and he is prepared to wait until they are available. One of those on the Goodfellas (1990) director's hit list is Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) star Hugh Grant, currently in London filming Bridget Jones's Diary (2001). Scorsese sees him as the ideal man to play Martin's fellow Rat Pack pal Peter Lawford. He also wants Saving Private Ryan (1998) star Tom Hanks to play Martin and Pulp Fiction (1994) actor John Travolta to star as Frank Sinatra. The director's dream continues with Wedding Singer, The (1998) star Adam Sandler as comic Joey Bishop and THE MASK's Jim Carrey as Jerry Lewis. The lesser-known Rat Pack member, Ocean's 11 (1960) actor Lawford, who died in 1984, married John F. Kennedy's sister Patricia, earning him the nickname Brother-in-Lawford.

Who Will Be Spider-Man?

The race to find a suitable Spider-Man (2001) star is heating up - and time may be running out. The film is due to start filming in the Fall and location managers have been scouring New York to find suitable places to shoot the superhero movie. And casting directors are desperately trying to nail down a star for the lead - with less than 4 months to go - they need enough time to train the suitable actor in his wall-climbing skills. Freddie Prinze Jr. would love the role saying, "I've always felt very strong about playing Spider-Man. I read comic books to this day. Spider-Man was one of my favorites when I was growing up." Other names rumored to be in the running include Heath Ledger, Scott Speedman and Tobey Maguire.

Tom Hanks Steals Car As A Joke

Actors on the set of a major new Steven Spielberg production are keeping a close eye on their keys - because they fear Tom Hanks will drive off with their cars. The Saving Private Ryan (1998) star is producing the epic mini-series BAND OF BROTHERS and the Hollywood star decided to turn prankster on set. An insider at the location for the World War II drama in Hertfordshire, England, says Tom swiped executive producer's Tony To's car keys. He took To's luxury Jaguar for a spin to London for a joke - but made sure he brought the car back. The source adds, "Tom has also been keeping everyone amused at lunchtimes by doing Forrest Gump (1994) impressions. There's a really good atmosphere on set - he's a great guy to work with." The 13-hour series is the most expensive ever made at a cost of $128 million. It also stars Friends actor David Schwimmer as an incompetent captain.

Catherine And Michael Deny Pre-Nuptial Battle

Hollywood star Michael Douglas has slammed reports that he and pregnant fiancee Catherine Zeta Jones are locked in battle over a pre-nuptial agreement. Entrapment (1999) Star Jones 30, who is expecting the couple's first child, was said to have refused to sign a deal because of differences over how much of Douglas's fortune she would get if they split. But a spokesman for 54-year-old Douglas said the pair, who are due to marry in September, made an agreement privately some time ago. The spokesman says, "I can't imagine any couple in their position not coming to some form of arrangement before getting married, and they did do that some time ago. They have just finished Traffic (2000), and we had our cast and crew party on Saturday night Then, yesterday, they saw Albert Finney for lunch and had a great time with him. They are getting on very well together."

Matt Damon Helps Out At Fund-Raiser

Saving Private Ryan (1998) star Matt Damon did his bit for charity by auctioning a signed Good Will Hunting (1997) poster to raise money for children's charities. Four bidders got posters for $10, 000 each at the Shjon Podein Children's Foundation event held in Rochester, Minnesota last Sunday. The auction raised $90, 000, including the $3, 000 Damon bid for a Labrador puppy and the $6, 000 he paid for an autographed hockey jersey.

Renee Zellweger Fed Up With Eating

Renee Zellweger is fed up with trying to put on weight for her role in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) - because it's making her sick. The Blonde beauty has been eating copious amounts of grub to gain the necessary pounds to play the weight obsessed heroine. But the girlfriend of Jim Carrey says, "It's grown on me now - it's force feeding. The crew bring me my fourth Snickers and say, 'it's time'. I have been eating six pizzas and three candy bars a day. Plus fetucinni alfredo and peanut butter sandwiches."

Robert Duvall Tangos To Keep Fit Every Day

Actor Robert Duvall can't keep his feet still after learning to tango. The Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000) actor says he dances every single day and is even making a movie about it. He explains, "I practice the tango every single day. I'm working on a tango movie right now called Assassination Tango. It's about social dancing clubs. Francis Ford Coppola is producing it and I'm directing... I used to go to social dancing clubs and the first time I did the tango, he was in the audience so we've come a full circle."

Claire Forlani Hates Seeing Herself

Claire Forlani has been lucky enough to star opposite Brad Pitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. - but she insists she's not beautiful. The British actress says looking good is not at the forefront of her mind, unlike many in Hollywood, and she couldn't really care less what she looks like. She says, "Style and fashion have never been in the forefront of my attention. I was one of the few who was so grateful to be able to wear a school uniform. I'm not a big mirror person. When I'm not filming I pretty much avoid looking in the mirror. I spare myself. When you're filming, it's all very focused on how you look, especially if you're a girl. So I give myself a break."

Big Momma's House Star Admits To Joy Riding

Big Momma's House (2000) star Nia Long landed in trouble with her own mother when she borrowed the family car to go for a hamburger. The stunning star was just a twelve-year-old when she and a girlfriend "decided to steal the car and go for a joyride to McDonalds." Long explains, "We go to McDonalds and we rolled down the window we had music blasting and the next thing I know we had hit a camper van."
